yes, after reading all the forums, I started to take that allocation thing seriously. talked to a ton of dealer in december and told them all to call me if things loosened. got a call lasts week as well on a red one I could have bought about 300 miles away at msrp. until I have one in hand, not burning any bridges... waiting and hoping.

I still would have gone to my dealer, he is a customer of mine. I just thought I still would have had it in a reasonable time. Starting month 5 and still no vin. I definitely agree. Sharing the same pain of being a September order with a dealer that did not receive any allocation. Patience and temptation has been tested multiple times, and will again be tested tomorrow.

As one who ordered on opening day at 9:01 and waited months for a VIN I sympathize with your frustration! I ordered from a second dealer, ended up canceling my first order which soon after was to be built, the second dealer received no allocation in round 2 or 3. RS informed me that I had a VIN from my first order so I contacted the dealer and said if it was still available I wanted it. He told me the general manager would have to call me back in a couple days. Then another local dealer posted that they had received their first Hellcat if anyone was interested. The guy who ordered it bought a SRT truck while waiting... Took my 2012 SRT the next morning to look at the Hellcat and get a trade value. The general manager called me as I sat in front of the saleswomen waiting for my eval to tell me I could get my original order back. I ended up buying the local one on 1/15/15 and canceled the other original two. NOW that it's over and I have a Hellcat in my garage, View attachment 2633 I am slowly forgetting all the bullshit I went thru to get to this point. When you're in the car you just have a shit eating grin from ear to ear and all is right with the world! Morale of the story; IT'S WORTH THE WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
