So Im going to say it. But before everyone goes ape, hear me out. Love so much about my HC Challenger it makes it easy to overlook flaws, but flaws there are and that is why I am Disappointed. There its been said.
The lack of quality control seems to be this cars downfall. Perhaps being a first model year car adds to the equation , who knows .
We have all waited and many are still waiting for their cars, loosing countless hours due to the anticipation of owning one of these beasts, and they are beasts.
Cars of this caliper need to be more than just " Beasts ". Build quality is just as important as anything else. Waiting for months with endless amounts of agrivation and disappointment , only to receive a product that already has several issues is disheartening.
I gave up desired options to receive my car sooner, however... I will not accept inferior paint work, extremely low quality audio, poor fit and finish, poor interior leather fitment , cheap hoseclamps, and the list continues. To the shop it goes. Buyers beware. Do not be disappointed when your car finally does arrive, because it is tremendous, but do not accept flaws and unacceptable quality from a vehicle in this price range. Safe driving and smokey burnouts to all, and to all a good ride!

IMHO, these are just regular cars with additional powertrain, suspension, and braking engineering. Special handling on the assembly line doesn't mean they are some super rare exotic. They are just perceived that way because of their performance. If you want to pay double for gold plated hose clamps, have at it. I have a 71 Barracuda. It uses the same hose clamps as the Plymouth Duster. Also the same as the 71 HEMI-cuda. Sometimes the loads change and challenge the limits of parts. It seems Dodge/SRT is addressing these as they come up.
BTW, I notice several spelling errors in your post. Its OK for you not to be thorough, but you expect it from SRT? Just busting on you a little. ;-)

I expect more from Srt. With my typing skills I bet I could get a job at Srt quality control. They seem to " miss a few things as well ".

Oh I forgot to ask, what is the part number on those gold clamps?

Everyone is, of course, entitled to their opinion. But to me, my Hellcat is a little like the modern version of a Buick GN, with pricing adjusted for inflation. The money's spent for the motor and drivetrain.

And SRT keeps updating the interiors, and the infotainment is pretty good... certainly better than my 2009 SRT. So I'm happy with the cockpit.

It's a Dodge: I don't expect flawless paint or luxury brand QC. And I do expect some issues in a first year of production car.

Pretty much comes down to an owner's level of expectations, I guess.

I am a little disappointed in the dash and door p[anels in the Charger. The rubbery-plastic material with the grains in it is cheap looking and feels funky, dash should be wrapped in leather like Jeep SRT. I also think whatever the hell the pattern is suppose to be on the dash and radio panel bezel, is cheap looking. Should be real CF, once again, like the Jeep SRTs. My only complaints with the interior so far.

I'm thrilled with the paint quality, as well as the interior, of my Challenger. Everybody who has sat in my car has commented on how lovely the interior (including seats and dash) is, and I only got the Nappa leather, not the costly Laguna.

if you didnt know Dodge is a B grade car company then you have never done any brand research...they always rank at the bottom for everything.......i bought my 2nd Challenger knowing its not perfect and will never be....also it will most likely have above average # of repairs

$60k for what they give you is a bargain......you get more than you should and should not expect MORE for $60k.....

they have had bad paint forever....its a Dodge and most likely will always have bad paint

I don't like the dimples that are beginning to appear on the side of the roof! They are just adding to the wrinkles along the sheet metal that came with the car.
