The Durango HellCat brakes are just like the ones on my Challenger HellCat, the DUST IS TERRIBLE!!! We drove to a car cruise the other night, 20 miles and the front wheels were covered with dust ONCE AGAIN!! I checked with PowerStop(The pads I put on the Challenger) and they said the did not have any for it being a 2021, Too New. WELL, with a little research, found out they are the same as the 2020 TrackHawk. Just installed them today..... I installed the Z36 pads because I will be pulling the enclosed trailer with this Bad-Boy.
Well, NO MORE!!! The PowerStop pads are Excellent!!! 90% less dust and I didn't notice ANY reduction in stopping power on the Challenger. Highly Recommend them for Any car with this Problem!! ALSO, for those of you (Like Me) with a bad back, I started using the red motorcycle jack to support those big tires while removing and installing them. Just roll it up on the jack and slide it into place!!

Your pics bring back awful memories. Since installing the Powerstops on mine, I'd forgotten how thick a film the brembos can create. And I'll add that Graphene coating your wheels is the stuff of GODS! Just spraying the wheels with water gets them mostly clean.

A reduction in dust means a reduction in performance, no way around it. Brembo & FCA spec'd those pads for a reason.. For a 5,700 lb SUV that could be pulling 8,700 lbs I'll take all the braking performance I can get. Ceramic coat your wheels, clean them thoroughly once a week, and use the paddles to downshift to slow down without using the brakes when possible.
Side note, the factory wheel and tire combo weighs 76 lbs.

I hadn't thought of using a motorcycle jack! On another forum this week I started a discussion about using self-loading wheel dollies to change tires, but I like this idea too. Thanks!

Fast forward 30 seconds to get past the disclaimer.

I watched Boyd's show, American Hot Rod, and learned a trick from a younger girl on the show (until Jo felt threatened).... She would sit on the ground, and lift the wheel into place with her knees/shins, then slide it on. I've used that method ever since and love it.
