Has anybody else noticed that when building a normal body Hellcat on the Dodge site if you choose the Black Laguna Leather option and then select the TorqueFlite transmission it changes your upholstery to Alcantara and notifies you of the change?

Are the two options now not selectable together or is it a glitch??

@DodgeCares, can you comment on this?

Sounds like a glitch. Should be a valid combo as far as I know....
I actually misspoke. When you select the 8 speed it changes the upholstery to the Alcantara. Do you still assume it's a glitch?

So, has anybody actually ordered an A8 Hellcat normal body with Laguna Leather to prove the two can be had together?

It is not a glitch. I had the same problem when I built it on the website. Didn’t think much of it as I thought the same, but when I ordered my challenger Hellcat WB non redeye, I couldn’t select the Laguna package/Alcantara with the A8. I had to go with the Alcantara/Napa seats.

UGH! Why must they do these things? I assume to drive more buyers to a vastly more expensive and dare I say, overpriced, Jailbreak which you can't get in non-wide body. It's bad enough that I can't order a stick, and they've forced me to consider an A8. Now this...

Seriously…I had been waiting since I sold my Shelby in May to order a 6 speed, but my patience ran out and decided to go with the A8. The dealer that ordered mine got a 6 speed ‘19 Challenger WB lease return and sales manager let me test drive it. All I have to say is “holy s***” that thing is absolutely exhilarating!!! I wish I was waiting on a 6 speed.

And the crazy thing, they are asking for $79k for the car. 7,933 miles. Sticker price was $74k back in 2019!!
Do you have a VIN yet or a build date?

I've been waiting since July to order a 6-speed and I'm beginning to think they're going the way of the dodo. My patience, like yours was, is wearing thin. If I can't order a 6-speed or, failing that, an A8 that has black leather, I might actually jump ship and buy a GT500. Dodge is really frustrating me.

Check the build for a RENB.
i have, and I can get the black leather, no problem. There is the issue though of a $13k disparity in price between the RE and Hellcat. I can afford the RE but was honestly not originally looking to spend close to $90k on what will be a Sunday driver. It really burns my ass at how crass a move it is on Dodge’s part to make these option incompatibilities to lure people into buying more expensive cars. I’ve essentially gone from intending to spend $75k on a six-speed Hellcat to considering an $88k Redeye just to have the options I want. It would all be fine if Dodge would just announce 6-speed production already… 😡

Dodge.com has the base price of the HC at $64,770, if you add only the cost of the A8 it becomes $67,765. The base for the RENB is $76,370, diff of $8605. I have not tried but I think this diff does not change when you add options. If you get 4-5% off invoice, that difference becomes much less. Seems like a great deal to me.
