When the clock hits 120k, you will look at the car and remember all the happiness it gave you over the past 15 years and think how foolish your were when you were younger worrying about every chip and scratch. I loved my GTO when it was old, really enjoyed driving it and never worried!I used to freak over that kind of stuff, too. Especially if it's a newer car. But as time rolls along I realized it's not new anymore and those things just happen when you drive this car. Wish they didn't. But if you replace or repair it then wait like you said he should wait till he sells it and then replace it $200 because it will surely happen again.
