You should always back into a parking spot any ways. The only time not to is when you are concerned that you may be towed. In that case pull in and crank the wheel
When the clock hits 120k, you will look at the car and remember all the happiness it gave you over the past 15 years and think how foolish your were when you were younger worrying about every chip and scratch. I loved my GTO when it was old, really enjoyed driving it and never worried!

Replacement is the only option that will make you really happy. First one I had replaced was damaged during delivery back in Jan of 2015. The dealer replaced it and the Tech assigned had never seen a Hellcat splitter before. He did it in record time and did a crappy job of connecting the plastic rivet thingys. I got it home and had to partially disassemble his mess and put it in right. I noticed that when you lined it all up it just snapped into place without too much fuss. Fast forward 4 years later and now being supremely over-confident, I pulled right into the Bank parking lot and scraped it up again on those concrete wheel stops. This time I ordered the part from the parts counter and me and the wife jacked it up on jack stands and literally changed it out in one short afternoon. Now I’m not much of a mechanic. It just took a slow approach and common sense, along with a few iphone pictures as I deconstructed and removed the damaged one and replaced it with the new one. Don’t pay someone to do it, it really was much easier than I thought it was going to be. Get the NEW part and change it out yourself, in your own garage. Utube might help too!
