Every so often i get a bit of a bumpy idle sitting stiil or in drive, nothing bad, but i just like to know if this is the norm in a HC with 31k miles. Always did this since i got it with 27k miles, had the throttle body cleaned and i use top tier fuels. Thanks

My 2020 has the rough idle thing also, I'd hazard a guess it has something to do with the VVT getting out of whack.

Ford changed up the VVT on the 2018 Gen3 Coyote and they had issues with the new style exhaust oil control solenoids which caused rough idling and stalling when they started failing.

My Gen3 did it from the 1st time I fired it up after buying it as I was fixing to drive off the dealer lot, I figured it was just water in the intake.

Ford eventually put out a TSB on the issue and as my Mustang got considerably worse after putting it on corn, data logging showed whatever was happening was on bank 2 drivers side so I swapped the VVT solenoids and the stalling stopped.

Then that car was killed a few months later, but at least it wasn't stalling as it went to Mustang heaven.

So far my Hellcat hasn't gotten any worse so I'll just monitor and dig into it if it does.

Is the engine air filter ok? I let my Hellcat's engine air filter go to 27.5K miles. IIRC the factory calls for a 20K mile change of the filter. The filter was filthy. A new filter had the engine running better. I do not recall the idle being particularly bumpy but the throttle response with the new air filter installed was noticeably better.

I havent checked it, but i assume it is good since taking it in 3k miles ago for service, i will look into that. I think because i started using marathon gas ot isnt happy. Today i put in mobil, so i will see if it cleans up. Chevron was good as well.

Its seems to have gone away after filling with mobil. It was that lousy marathon crap, no more!!
Just because you took the car in 3K miles ago doesn't mean the filter is ok. I took my Hellcat in a number of times and even after 20K miles and the engine air filter was not checked until I took the car in at 27.5K miles for an oil/filter service and asked the engine and cabin air filters be replaced.

Too late now but yes, gasoline can cause engine issues. I was remiss in not mentioning this but the general advice is if the engine is acting up as long as it is not acting up too bad trying another brand of gasoline can be a good idea. 'course, you can't just add a couple of gallons of another brand of gasoline and expect this to be a cure. The suspected bad gasoline needs to be used up some.

Generally I buy name brand gasoline -- well, except when I don't... -- and I buy from a busy station to help ensure I get fresh gasoline. Over the years my experience has been Shell, Chevron, Philips 66, Unocal 76 are all pretty good gasoline. In my tank fill ups than I can count never a bad tank of gasoline. Also, various truck stop gasoline has been good: TA, Loves, etc.

Now since I moved to Benton County AR I have run mostly discount gasoline in my Hellcat and Scat Pack with no issues. A Littlefield station not too far from me which I pass by every day offers 91 ethanol free at a very competitive price and so far the gasoline has proved to be very good. No complaints from my Hellcat or my M-B van (with a turbo charged engine which requires 91) or my Scat Pack.
