Guys,
As a buyer do not have trust buying from anyone, even if they are a high post member that you have had conversation with.
Use paypal for protection and pay the fees.
I recently bought a set of sublime calipers from a member. I did not use paypal. Made a $100 deposit and waited weeks for their new brake setup to arrive. We had mutual conversation and finally they were ready. Sent the money via paypal, paid for shipping, and paid for $1,000 of insurance. The seller sent pics of them being packaged into shreaded newspaper, i requested bubble wrap but he said it would not fit in the boxes that way.
Boxes showed up.
Damage all over the calipers powdercoat finish. That looks like a wheel rub more than shipping damage to me.....
Decals pealing.
Rusty parts.
The pics he sent everything looks clean and new.
Obviously these are pics from when he received them being done. No rust on the pads or hardware. No damage.
I made him aware the day i recieved them and sent multiple pics circling the damage.
I did not accuse him of anything.
He said it happened in shipping.
I filed a claim with fedex, they reviewed pics of the boxes that had zero damage and denied the claim. Claimed packing is the shippers responsibility.
Contacted the seller.
And showed him the rejection of claim.
Claimed that it showed a payment.
I called fedex and was told rejection.
Contacted seller.
He tells me i got paid and am trying to rip him off. Accuses me of this.
I don't think so brother.
I got played by a liar, a cheat, a thief.
Pay your paypal fees and trust nobody on here with your money.
If anyone can zoom in on the pics of the newspaper in the one pic he sent and read a date on that newspaper, i would bet it doesn't say 2021.
I just can't believe how an active member could rip someone off for almost $1,100.
Enjoy my hard earned cash you loser.
What goes around comes back around.
