Hello, anyone who has ordered a hellcat, did you leave with a signed Buyer's Order/Purchasing agreement? Dealer will not give me a buyers order or purchase agreement, I made a $500 refundable deposit, but without that PO, I feel vulnerable!

They should give you some receipt for the transactions. If not, go back in and ask for it. If you paid the deposit by check, then you'll have the Cleared Check

I did for both my cars. I got lucky and pulled two great dealers. I did have to go back several times....All about the paperwork and being prepared as much as you can. This site helped alot with giving me the questions and answers I should be asking for in the purchasing threads.

Vulnerable for what? Stealing your deposit? Selling the car out from under you? The second one you cannot stop, it's their car until final paperwork is completed along with full financial payment by you or the bank financing it. Obviously they would have to return your deposit.

The deposit is not a biggy, as stated you would have the cashed check notice with your bank. And no dealer is going to risk its business over $500. They should have provided you at least a copy of the POC of the build and order and they could have wrote about the deposit on that. I'd ask for that.

I think the op’s concern is valid. When I ordered my car the price increased twice before I got it. That being said my order price was protected. So if they aren’t willing to “price protect” from order date I’d go elsewhere.

Most places the deposit only guarantees you first opportunity to buy the car. Nothing else.
