F active interchiller. Sat on my money for six months with no kit. Cancelled after multiple calls and conversations where he was sick/parts/whatever.
Seriously? Very good to know how long ago was that? Was thinking about getting a kit from themF active interchiller. Sat on my money for six months with no kit. Cancelled after multiple calls and conversations where he was sick/parts/whatever.
Pm me with what happened guess I won’t be going with them thenSeriously? Very good to know how long ago was that? Was thinking about getting a kit from them
No, you can get an EMP reprogrammed pump that’ll work like stockGot some info regarding the pump and the IC system. HHP said that the pump is set to turn on max when IC coolant reaches a certain temp. They don't lower that threshold because the pump can be "finicky."
Next issue. At the top end of one of my passes, the "IC coolant low" CEL came on. I talked to Jeremy at BMR fabrication and he said that the stock pump doesn't respond very well to head pressure. The additional coolant in the system and then when it really heats up, during a run, can cause that CEL to come on and the efficiency of the pump to drop dramatically. He said if it were him he'd throw a Stewart EMP pump on the car and be done with it. He also said that once you air lock the pump they seem to not last too much longer.
Anyway, gonna send it as is for now, but I will be upgrading the pump eventually.
Only issue with an aftermarket pump is wiring and tuning, but people run these pumps with trunk mounted ice tanks, so neither of those things should be a problem. Mounting should be relatively easy, too, as there's plenty of space where the stock on is and we can just make a mounting bracket ourselves.
The correct way to find these options in HP Tuners is as follows. The intercooler pump tables are under LTR (low temp radiator) in hp tuners, also. @fumanchu182 tunes his own car, he may be able to point you in the right direction
These have been out of stock for over a year. I'm not sure if they will ever be or if they are just facing unusually long supply chain problems.EMP reprogrammed pump
Out of stock right now, but there it is.
I've found it in a few places and all are sold out.
More pics 😁Here are some pics of how much of the fascia has to be "trimmed" for the install. I had the front off off for installing an IC pump, so took some pics. We had to tilt the lower part of the lower grill out toward the front of the car and drill two new holes for two screws.
