yeah right now its in BX status again... Maybe the person last night on chat got mixed up or something. Whats funny is I ordered a TRX on friday and got the vin on monday. Havent seen it go past that yet but at least its moving along. The only reason I even ordered this car was because I ordered a 21 Redeye and it came with body flaws. I asked the lady just now to just see if they will make right on that then I dont need a new one. I keep putting off gettting a tune or any sort of mods because I just know when I give up the new one and start working on this one, ill get a phone call saying my car is here...lol

The process is actually 3 days
Day 1 Frame
Day 2 Paint
Day 3 Assembly / Trim
Don't think so. It might span over 2 days if they start late on day 1 but in 20 hours or less, the car should be done.

Now stripes will add a couple days at Brampton maybe.

And the Upfitter can add a couple weeks.

But the basic car goes together just like an SXT. About 900 per day in good times before Covid and this supplier mess but probably still 750 or better today.

I’ve had 2 Hellcat’s built in the last 10 months and both went through the same 3 day process. My friend works at the Chrysler plant and said that’s the norm.
The longest wait currently appears to be between the build day to when it gets shipped tho. Mine didn’t get the stripes put on until almost 3 weeks after the build

OK but don't see how they can do that since all cars come down the same line. You're saying only Hellcats take 3 days? No way does your basic SXT take 3 days and all these cars are on the same line one behind the other. That's why I'm not understanding where the extra time comes from, they pulling them off the line somewhere?

lol, I’m not going to debate a point that I don’t know first hand as I don’t work there. I’m speaking from recent experience and what I’ve been told by my friend that as I said works there. I would assume all trim levels go through the same process
It’s not a big deal to me either way, I’m not claiming to know it all haha

Yeah it's all good, I was just curious and it's probably slowed down a good bit lately with all the world issues of today, cheers.

All Hellcats , Redeyes, JB's and SS's are pulled when built and goto another inspection station ( for quality control etc ) inside Brampton plant to be checked over unlike the SXT's and all other trim lines.....FWIW

For what it's worth.
Lower trim vehicles are pushed though quicker then a Hellcat. Ever notice that under the hood of all Hellcats the engine bay area is clear coated ? It's not that way on an SXT or even a 300. I believe they perform extra steps for our cars which add some time to the build process, but not much.
The overall paint is flawless on my 2021. The stripes however are not perfect. Of course, they were laid on by human hands.

it would be impossible to push a lower trim level through quicker...they are on a motorized assembly line, there are zero ways to take cuts

And would only take a few seconds extra for the robots to spray the clear in the engine compartment.

Shakers are also clear coated and were before Hellcat.

Well you lucked out, the Hellraisin on my 2020 was straight crap. They didn't spray the area beneath the shock towers well at all and it had orange peel all over the side panels, and about a dozen or more pinhole sized blemishes (kinda like the paint bubbled up and flecked off). Very, very tiny and not noticeable unless you had your nose on the car. Still, for a car that cost over 70 grand... it was a bad paint job... and my 2018 T/A was the same way. This is why I tend to mock Mopar paint jobs as most of the ones I've seen have piss poor quality. Take a paint depth meter gauge to yours sometime, and I'd be surprised if it comes out even mils. My underhood thickness was only 3 mils, doors 5 mils, front drive fender 8 mils, passenger fender 6 mils. The satin painted hood, roof, and trunk deck were actually even, all at 8 mils.

Had I had that meter on delivery day, I'd have not taken delivery of it and ordered a replacement. However, I didn't discover it for a few months later and, that's on me.
