I’ve been looking at several different cold air setups not because I want more power, but I’ve read it improves the sound of the supercharger. I was looking at the LMI, but it won’t work with the factory heat shield/box that seals to the hood and I’d like to keep that. Any recommendations on what works best? Will just a better air cleaner improve the sound? Opinions?

All the previous designs you would need to remove the factory air box set up . The only one that I know of is the AFE air box set up that will seal to the demon hood or the 2 scoops of raisin hood .
There is also a guy that makes a carbon fiber air tube that replaces the factory rubber accordion tube but is still uses the factory air box and filter .

If you are stock and untuned you aren't going to see much if any performance gains at all.

Not looking for any power gains, just better supercharger sound. I’m still on the factory warranty so tuning it isn’t going to happen since it’ll void the warranty.

I have a 21 WB hellcat charger. It has the redeye hood. I just ordered a K&N kit. (63-1577). I wanted the same thing, more sound! It's for Demons/Redeye. It has a different heat shield than the K&N Typhoon and a larger filter. It's supposed to work with the Demon/Redeye hood. Its affordable as well. Should have it in about a week.

I guess I'm sticking with the stock air box.
At least it's paid for and we know it works.

If supercharger whine is all you are concerned about Bwoody is the loudest with LMI being a close second. The Bwoody whine is rlly loud though you can hear the blower from blocks away just driving casually. I have one sitting in a box brand new just waiting to factory order the car any day now :)

The afe is a great looking unit. They sure are proud of this thing though at over $700! 🤨
It’s just sound you after so save $680 and get a couple of these:

I ordered one mid September and they sent me an update recently saying it would now deliver maybe by the end of January. Canceled my order. I will just stick with stock until we see what Dodge comes out with in the stage kits.

I highly recommend the aFe intakes for these cars, just stay away from the older closed box designs, you want the open box design. They sound great and perform great too.

I’m planning on going this route. As mentioned above if they don’t ship until January that’s going to suck. I have no patience…. 🤨
