I canceled my HC order placed 9/9 @ 11am and was still in VON hell..................................Now Im locked in with a Vin # on a Jazz Blue with Black hood. Signed the papers today so Hello Black Hood Club, Ive been told by SRT that I'm 1 of the lucky ones that got built with the black hood. I said wow there is a lot of lucky ones because that's the canned answer everybody gets just to shut up the paying customer. I'm OK waiting now that I have a vin, I just wish I could get a straight answer.

Congrats on your VIN but I don't understand your thread title and the first line. Did you cancel your order or just tell the dealer you were thinking about doing so?

Sorry for the confusion. I canceled my original order because I found a unclaimed allotment and now have a signed contract on a car with a Vin
Now a whole new waiting game starts. I was still 3rd in line with my original dealer but now have a Vin.

Thanks admin for correcting the title. I got lucky MSRP but it does have the black hood so I'm in an all new holding pattern.

Thanks my original order was TorRed my car will be Jazz w/ black hood. SRT call center says it will be shipped in a couple of weeks but we all know what RS says

According to insider sources at NASA, the wait would only be on par with the wait for satin black hoods, so I guess it's a toss up!

The wait is because they have to be painted on Mars and flown back on a comet. And Comet labor is NOT cheap!
