If you get the RF Hub module security update that prevents the programming of new key fobs, will this interfere with the installation of aftermarket car alarms. Are car alarm remotes programmed the same way?

It doesn't interfere. I had the Compustar alarm w/Drone installed. It maintained all my OEM fobs & I don't need any additional fobs. Also got a kill switch direct to the starter (not the ignition button) while they were installing.

Thanks for the reply. Are you happy with the reliability of the compustar set up? Any annoying issues cropping up like false alarms etc? I have a viper smart start on an Abarth, ( phone app and 2 way remote start ) and my god that thing works 100% of the time and at ridiculous distances. It absolutely puts the Uconnect/Guardian app and our regular key fobs to shame. @BHoward has a similar set up to you and seems to be very happy with it. Hopefully him and others can chime in for an update.
Thinking of adding one to my widebody. Biggest concern is, if anything electrical goes wrong the Dealer will try to pin the blame on the alarm. You didn't have any warranty concerns?

Hey there. No issues whatsoever. I honestly feel like the hidden kill switch is my secret weapon, even more so than the Compustar.

The entire multi-layered system, in additioned to my alarmed & camera-surveilled garage, is:

Compustar w/Drone app
Killswitch to starter
Wired GPS tracker & phone app
UConnect app
2 hidden GPS air tags w/phone app
Neutral strap plate
Brake pedal lock (if needed)

...I feel like it's the best I could throw at it🤣

Well, you're definitely prepared! Only thing left to do is wire the thing with explosives 😁
Any Kill switch in particular?

Nothing fancy.....these are more flush and perhaps less likely to be found if feeling around, but any switch will do....my alarm installer guy only charged me an extra $50 to install it. He also ran it straight to the starter vs. the ignition button. Just keep in mind, if you utilize the kill switch, then the auto-start won't start

Thanks, good info. That's a no go for me.
Vegas summers, remote start is a must have.
Take care.

Roger that....just to be sure I was clear...the KS doesn't eliminate your auto-start entirely....just if you ENGAGE the switch (so a thief can't start the car)...THEN the auto-start won't work. With the KS installed....you CAN still utilize your auto-start (just don't engage the switch)....so the KS is there if you want to use it

...hope that makes sense
