Pretty sure that went beyond a joyride.

If this is true, it would be pretty easy to find the Perp since the Dealership makes a copy of their valid Drivers License before they are allowed a test drive.

I went and tested a Track Hawk and after we hit the lot after the test drive the kid asked me for my Drivers License just to cover him self with his boss. I told him I got a DWI and did not have one after driving a SRT8 and the track hawk..

He about peed himself.. Then I handed him my License

A good friend of mine is a salesman at this dealership, he tells me that the “customers” did not have ID or insurance proof to drive the vehicle,… so the salesperson was driving the GC when this went down - he says this is NOT standard practice at the dealership

We bought our Durango HC before we even got to drive it. They let me test drive a challenger hellcat a few years before but it was on the black key (yawn) and required proof of everything plus copies of license, insurance and leaving our car behind with them. I suppose that’s not the safest bet but felt like they took precautions to keep something from happening. Crazy world

Wow that’s insane. Glad the salesman is ok. But all dealerships should require copy of license, insurance & their car left behind with the keys before test driving any Scat Pack or Hellcat. I’ve seen too many horror stories
