I own a challenger RT not a hellcat and enjoy browsing on this site seeing all of your guys sick cars. Hopefully one day I will own one if they’re not to hard to get. I am very grateful though to be able to own what I own at a young age. Anyways I’m starting (trade school) college next week at a few different ones around the Bay Area and I’m kind of nervous leaving my car parked out for 3-5 hours during some days of the week considering they are in a few rougher neighborhoods. I baby my car and love keeping it in immaculate condition and just very paranoid seeing theese younger hood rats target theese cars specifically. I mean they literally go around and know all the techniques to taking theese things for themselves as they don’t have jobs to work for what they want in life. With that being said since taking my car is the only option do you guys recommend any gps systems(car lock)etc and security systems for me. I know I don’t have a 70k hellcat but I think my car is definitely nice and one that could be targeted. Thanks in advance.

I do not have my SS yet but I understand your concern. I hope someone from here can guide you in the right direction. You should be proud of what you have earned and it's great that you have the car you do, it doesn't have to be a HC for you to be proud of it. I was extremely proud of my first vehicle and it was a plain jane 73' Chevy stepside truck that I rebuilt from a rusted hulk of a county work truck.

Congratulations on going to trade school they are awesome and can provide a very good life and huge earning potential!!
Can I ask what you are going to school for? I am a tool and die maker by trade.

GOOD LUCK.
I’m from a trade my family dad and uncle are both longtime stationary engineers with extensive knowledge in hvac industry. My other uncle is a chiller mechanic and they all make very good money and have great benefits most importantly. My whole life I’ve been surrounded by tools working on things around the house/ cars and something I have a passion for. For now I will be taking an electricity/ electrical technology curriculum that can lead into many fields in the trades. I’m thinking of getting into the hvac industry as well but not 100% sure. I have interest in becoming an electrician as well as elevator mechanics and more. The course I am taking is a very sought after course and glad I am able to take it right after high school.

I’ve learned that trades are a great route for anyone. No student debt and you get to make a great living. Going to a prestigious 40k a year out of state college wasn’t even in the question. You would be suprised how many kids go off to theese schools just to learn nothing and can’t find job from thier b.s. degree.
