Took off the carbon fiber stripes on the hellcat today. Left it in the summer heat all day and the stripes came off like butter. It's a 17 model so I knew I would have some color variation under the stripes. I'm going to try and orbital buff out the ghost stripes with a few different products I have and see if it's possible to blend them away. If not I'll just purchase new stripes. The stripes on the car were peeling in places, faded in spots and a few areas had small pieces missing. Any tips for getting rid of the ghost stripes are welcome!

If I go the route of putting new stripes on the car, I will buy the stripes and let a professional body shop put them on. I'm afraid ide ruin the stripes or they would go on crooked or something.

If you can you should get the paint corrected/coated & have someone install stripes for you. I couldn't deal with the hassle of DIY

Took the car to a body shop and they said the paint wasn't correctable so buying new stripes black matte oem.

Sorry, but nothing looks better that the carbon fiber stripes. Nothing. Any other stripes look cheap to. At least the carbon fiber has some character. Just my opinion. Good luck!

Looks naked to me. I’d wrap the hood or restripe it. Love the yellow finish, just needs something to break it up a little bit.

Exactly. Especially on the yellow cars. I get out of the left lane for cars with stripes, Ha-Ha.

Does anybody know the actual width of the factory stripes? I can only measure the ghost stripes and it's measuring 11.25 inches

The ghost stripes on my car vary in width in different sections of the car is it possible to oem stripes aren't the same width all the way through? Roof measured 12 inches in width but trunk is 11.25 and hood is 10 inches what the heck.

For anyone who wants to know the factory stripes from dodge are not one size in width. They stripes are larger on some surfaces and smaller in others. 11 inches I'm told is the widest part of the stripes and the stripes Taper down to 9 inches on the front bumper.

I'm trying another paint correction guy today to see if he can remove ghost stripes. If not I'm getting custom stripes made.

Just curious why you don't order them from Dodge that way they'll match?

I have to go custom stripes because there's no guarantee the oem stripe would cover ghost stripes because they could have contracted with heat.
