I have a typical combo on my superstock, e85, 1300 injectors, 9% lower 2.82 upper.
I noticed some belt slip with the green belt so I tried that rpm belt. First belt I noticed after 100 miles the edge was frayed some so I replaced it with another. Long story short after a few hundred miles I was driving home from work and got on the car a little and broke the belt. This is the first time I've broken a belt on a hellcat. Drive belt for alt and water pump was good so I drove home. The belt string got behind the alternator hub and smoked the alternator bearing, ruined all the pulleys and the tensioner as well. 750 bux later it's fixed. Have done 400 miles with the green belt with no issues. I have learned the standard black gates belt has less slip than the gates green. **** that rpm belt.

Yep. Trackhawk, all stock when this happened. Split the acc belt when it happened, no other damage.

Little run in with an X5M.

A friend of mine that's in the "know" we'll say told me never run the green belt on the IHI blower. Then the Redeye came with a green belt, which I thought odd. He would for sure know so I've always stuck with the original black ones and knock on wood so far no problems.

I've been running the RPM belt for just over year now without any issues or slippage so far. I routinely check the belt for nicks, cuts and fraying and haven't seen anything that might cause concern. I do, however, keep a couple of spares on hand for "just in case". Running 2.72 upper, IW 9% lower without any tensioners. Guess I'm lucky so far, but I will be checking again as soon as I can. Thanks for the heads up!

Mine just destroyed the SC green belt. so I decided to change both it and the accessory belt again they were both approximately 2 years old. Don't know if it's any correlation but both of those green belts were slowly turning black when the the one let go.
