Wrong. Cashiers checks are issued and guaranteed by the issuing bank. The check writer is out of the picture the moment the bank charges their account and issues the check. I guess one can make a fake check, but not stop a real one.… cashiers check can be Stopped.
Yeah, right.... From your own link:No true. I work in a bank for over 20yrs. The bank can issue a stop on a cashiers check if the person that made the cashiers check says it was lost or claims fraud. Once money is wired it can’t be pulled back..
Not true. Call any bank and ask the manager. They just need the pink copy to do it. Not worth arguing with you when yor are incorrect. Think about it how do you recover a lost check. Lol 😂
Yes, my bank won't issue a Cashier's Check over $5k, then it has to be a certified check. Not sure on the differences in safety of funds, I've never run across a bad one...As I recall there is a difference between a "Cashiers" check and a "Certified" check. Maybe that is causing the disagreement.
Cashiers check is paid directly by the bank to you not from the customer funds. If it’s given to you by a tank teller it’s pretty legit.Yes, my bank won't issue a Cashier's Check over $5k, then it has to be a certified check. This is how my experience has always been. I've bought cars and sold cars with cashier's checks and never had any issues. I use to work for a local Credit Union when I was young and was always told a cashier's check is 100% safe.Cashiers check is paid directly by the bank to you not from the customer funds. Wells Fargo gave me a cashiers check that was WAY over 5k. I did a google search it says generally there is no max of a cashiers check it’s whatever the bank wants to do. It’s a check from the bank directly to you. I’m sure any main bank would have no problems issuing some massive cashiers checks if the customer has verified funds.
That cold be, I know when we got a certified check the specifically said we needed to wait x number of days before we could cancel or reprint it.As I recall there is a difference between a "Cashiers" check and a "Certified" check. Maybe that is causing the disagreement.

I've been ripped off years ago with a stolen cashier's check. 5kThis is how my experience has always been. I've bought cars and sold cars with cashier's checks and never had any issues. I use to work for a local Credit Union when I was young and was always told a cashier's check is 100% safe.
