Is there a trick to removing the centre console side panels. I'm starting to get the dreaded delamination on mine. I can get the narrow end towards the rear unclipped but I can't get the forward section to release. Any and all help appreciated.

If they are like the challengers, you have to remove the shifter bezel, remove the two screws securing it frontwards to the dash, then remove the screws holding the side panels to the inner console structure. They made it much more complicated than it needed to be...

Thanks. I knew there had to be something holding it because it was not giving it up. Gives me something to do this weekend. Going to try to repair it first before I drop the two bills on the replacement part.

On the Charger they just pop off. maybe try to contact @DodgeCares on here and see if they can escalate it with the dealership for you. Like the door panel warpage, this is a well known issue and you shouldn't have to foot the bill for a replacement part if your car isn't that old, or just out of warranty.

I can get the panel loose at the back end. I just can't get it to release at the front end. Any suggestions?

I might have misspoke a little bit. I believe that you have to pull the shifter plate up before you pull the side panels off.
The shifter bezel is only held down by clips, once you pull that up the side panels come off pretty easily. There's no screws just snap clips.

There was a thread on here a while back that shows the panels once they're off, so you can get an idea of what the back side of the panel looks like.

I'm currently about 7,000 miles away from my car. Otherwise I would shoot a quick video of how to remove them

I finally figured it out. The side panel is indeed held on by clips only - no screws. No other console parts need to be removed. I have epoxied the lifted up areas of the vinyl and it's on cure now. If all else fails, I'll buy a new piece.
