Love both cars I can't lie. If I was more into scca racing think I would go with the gtr. But there's no good track near me and would only have time to go once in a great while. For street and strip it's hellcat all day.

Japan claims their GTR beats everything on the road. Well seeing the video uhm ....
Both cars are equally fast and if you meet a GTR on the road be carefull racing it.

That's my car from mine and my buddy's run last month. We waited on that day for a long time and we finally got it on the hottest day of the year!!! Couldnt believe it got to 91 degrees with a DA of 2700 on THAT day. So needless to say no 10's were going to be had but we both had the same weather conditions. The cars are pretty well matched on the drag strip. BTW... Thats the NISMO GTR. It's the top dog GTR with more horsepower(600) than the others. And it's starting price.....$150k. No kidding and my buddy got the optional exhaust...which is another $13k+.. Doesn't sound any different, doesn't give you any more power. Just a small weight reduction and it turns blue over time and looks cool.

Out of curiosity was the GTR using launch control? My stock GTR premium has seen low 1.6 60fts on the stock tires. either way, looks like a fun day.

Yes launch comtrol on every pass. Both if us have had better 60' times, just not on this day. Weather limited for sure. On my very first pass ever with the car I pulled a 1.61 60' pretty effortlessly. The A8 does wonders with that first gear.

The GTR's are great cars. My son has been sending me links for the months I have been waiting on my HC, to buy a used one. My only complaint with them, besides the fact that I just think they are ugly is that they are so computer controlled that it takes the 'fun' out of driving one. I want to drive it, not the computer...

And they need a refresh. The interior is very dated and now so is the exterior. Can't wait to see the new version maybe 2016?
