Hello! My Uconnect touch screen is delaminating causing it to have bubbles all over and I have available a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 8.4 Uconnect with Nav and was wondering if I could switch out the Infotainment center from the Challenger with the Jeep? Does anyone know if they are the same specs and plug ins?

Your Challenger Screen may still have the Protective Film installed & that's what bubbling. Use a flashlight to find one of the edges and peal off with your fingernail.

You can't swap, wholly different software in the unit.

Yeah unfortunately no screen protector. Trying to just find cheaper alternatives as I no longer have my warranty.

Is this actually a thing? I bought a 2019 Hellcat and a 2021 Redeye Challenger NEW and I've never had a screen protector over my radio.

I had the same thing happen to my 2017. It was a warranty issue that was resolved that way. They replaced the whole unit.

The model with bubbling issue is LA084X01 (SL)(01). It sells for 550$ and has the possibility of bubbles/delaminating at anytime.

LA084X01 (SL)(02) is the new model screen that doesn't have bubbling issues because it was corrected sells for 650$ from what I've found. Easy installation video on YouTube.

Any links to that new model for sale? I was also seeing some posts/info where the touch screen is essentially glued to the lcd. Apparently very difficult to remove for a hobby mechanic.

They used to be for sale on ebay like crazy. Now there are none. I only found the old model that has the possibility of bubbling. Only other option is ordering from China which is I'm not sure the screen would ever arrive.

My screen is doing the same thing and I’m out of warranty. Ugh. This should be a recall and is shameful they put this piece of trash screen in our cars and won’t replace it. Time for a class action lawsuit.
