Hey guys i just got my 2021 Charger Hellcat Redeye WB yesterday night and i had a 2016 Challenger hellcat and off the bat i noticed the charger isn't that loud at all compared. Also when i started it up a couple of times it would have a hard time cranking like it was cammed. Is that normal?

Congrats on your new Hellcat. My prior Charger was a 16 Scat Pack and my Redeye seems noticeably quieter as well, but's really just perception. Stand behind the car during start up and there is a deeper mellower growl.

The startup "hesitation" that you describe seems to be a normal thing with the couple of Redeye's I've encountered, including my own.

That's weird. My RE seems as loud if not louder than my 2016.

I went from a 15 Challenger hellcat to a 21 Charger Redeye. First thing my wife said was how much quieter the Redeye was, and I agreed. As time has gone on however, it seems like the exhaust has broken in and now I feel it's as loud, if not louder. Could be my imagination, but it seems louder now.

Give the exhaust some time to break in. Over time it will be come noticeably louder. I couldn't wait so after a week I ripped out he mids and installed race bullets. 🤣 🤣
Ok, help explain this to me. If the exhaust "breaks in", what is physically happening to it to make it louder? Or is it all in our head?

Just switched from a 2020 Charger Hellcat WB to a 2021 Charger Hellcat Redeye WB and noticed the Redye is quieter too. I was hoping it'd get louder as it "broke in" but I'm really curious about it now. My 2020 HC sounded much, much louder and I don't remember a break in period for that one with the exhaust.
