An observation, I checked my oil within a few minutes of shutting the engine off when I initially got the car. It was a quart low. Checked it again a couple hours later, it was 1/2 quart low. Checked the next morning, right on the money. Make me wonder what the drain paths back to the pan are through this monster.
People need to be cautious taking this into account.

You can get a case 6 quarts on Amazon for $50. At least that's what it was. Pennzoil 0-40w platinum
You want Penzoil "Ultra" Platunum
There is a post on here from either Challengerdad or HellCatdotcom that received technical data from the manufacturer of Royal Purple. Current recommendation is to not run Royal Purple until after 2000 miles has crossed.
Sorry waiving b.s. flag ultra platinum wouldn't be factory fill if you couldn't use purple initially either, NOT that I endorse either over the other, or suggest switching from oem selection. 0 factual basis.

Royal purple specifically admitted they don't have any testing data or oil applications made for the hellcat yet as of early December 2014. They said to give them a few more months at least to test and make one or more available. They do not suggest using any of their Oils yet and if anything they said anyone can try their non API licensed and API licensed 0w40 but no guarantees as of this time but if you do, hit 2,000 miles then do it. Just stating what the RP techs said at the office down here in Houston.
I believe Royal Purple said what they did and wasn't trying to suggest otherwise or that any member of this forum was twisting or miss understood them.

The question to ask them is if a car is factory filled with Shell's Penzoil Ultra Platinum 0W-40, do they have oil that can replace it, yes or no?

The b.s. part is 2000 miles. Either their product is acceptable or not mileage would not make their product ok to use; in our application. I can see them perhaps thinking someone has a new car and then responding how they did, but if Royal Purple was told the car left the factory with PUP 0W-40, then said wait 2000 miles, please, do not trust.

0 noticeable oil loss on the stick; 160 miles to present (503 currently.) I check prior to car start and after it's sat more than 24 hours. (And pulled 1st oil sample Dyson to analyze along with virgin sample..). (I was introduced to Terry in 2004 recommend him highly.)
