I’m putting a full billet 426 stroker in my 2016 challenger in a few weeks. I’ll run the stock blower (currently at jokerz getting rebuilt) for fall and switching over to a whipple 3.0 during the winter months. I have the 1050’s that were in the car and and new in box 1300’s. I plan on running the car on e-85 when all said and done. The car now has HHP’s dual pump in the tank. I know I need to run a Triple pump system for ethanol and thought it would be an easy choice until I was on HHP’s website and seen all the options- figure now is a good time to educate myself. What’s everyone’s suggestions and experience with fuel pumps and fuel systems?

thanks

There are options and members will post up.

You should also call HHP direct with your questions too.
I'm not sure what you meant about seeing all the HHP options. They do sell the triple fuel pump and supporting parts for an E85 build.

For 426 cubes your definitely going to need a bigger blower, the 2.4 even spinning it to the moon is not going to give you more then maybe 15-16 lbs of boost, and since your running corn you’ll want lots more boost then that!! 1300 injectors, sell them while new and get 1700’s, you have the fuel system to make some big numbers on 426 cubes but the 1300’s are going to limit you. Trust me here, just been through this on only stock 377 cubes. Don’t waste your money in that 2.4, go right to a Whipple 3.0 or wait for the 3.8. You can get a stage 2 Whipple 3.0 for 6800 shipped with taxes included from Lethal Performance, their having a 10% sale, he just bought one 2-3 days ago and paid only $200 more then I just paid for my stage 1 kit :(.

My Whipple if you think I’m BS’ing, probably around 1100 wheel and my ID1300’s are in the 80% DC range, your gonna need bigger!!

Here’s some STREET numbers from first nights tuning my M6 Cat. Ran out of rpm in top of the 1/4 or would have even been faster

I was referring to every option that’s available when selecting triple pumps from pump sizes to wiring options. I messaged them on their website yesterday- wasn’t in able to make phone calls during the day due to noise.

I kind of fell down this rabbit hole. Was going to just get a factory replacement for my car last July. Then I was working on getting a stock displacement with forged internals..then I stopped by Tim’s shop while I was passing by and next think you know I’m on the phone with AJ and ordering a full billet 426.

I’m kind of on a budget for the fall. The engine took longer then predicted due to the way the world is right now and the money I had set aside has been used elsewhere around the house while waiting.

I need to get this out of the shop asap since it’s been in there since last July. The shop owner wants it out of there asap.

I have a couple options:

1- i get The car back together with the factory blower, pay for a tune and get it back home. I can throw some break in miles on it then work on it throughout the winter.

2- I get the engine in. Have it towed to my house. Save up through out winter (not blowing all my money during winter since I work out doors in the construction field) Buy parts all parts next spring and hope their isn’t a back order.

Isn't Tim out of his shop now and gone Down South?
Don't let your car sit anywhere for parts except in your own garage.
Get it towed!

I am giving you knowledgeable advice!

Yea Tim moved this summer. My car was never at Tim’s shop- it’s been at a good friends shop 30 min east of Tim’s old shop. My friend is just sick of it taking up space at a lift since last July- I don’t blame him.

I know how rabbit holes go lol.
I’d go with #1 STOCK blower, don’t put any money in it, just get it home and save/gather parts for spring to finish it right. You’ve waited this long already, springs not that far, winter is close. There’s a new set of ID1700’s on the other forum, Let me know if you’re interested in them and I’ll post a link for you.

Well….I went on lethals website yesterday afternoon and bought a whipple gen 5 stage 2 for $6,551 out the door…hard to argue with that price- let’s see if it’s in stock with no wait time…meanwhile Im still going to need a fuel system 😳🤣 I’ll try to get a hold of HHP or Tim tomorrow and see what they recommend. Im hoping the current pumps will be fine while breaking it in on a 92 pump gas tune and would eliminate me having a tank with ethanol just sitting all winter.

I’ll probably sell the old blower once I get it back from jokers along with the factory fuel rails, 1050’s, 3.10 & 2.75 pulley, 105 mm hhp throttle body and a full Mopar blower gasket kit to recouple a little money for the whipple. Idk what its even worth.

I bet now is probably a good time to buy/install headers….🙄

NICE grab!!! You won’t be sorry!!
Yea, for those cubes and that blower your going to need a 3 pump set up and a full blown return type system. I think the same guy that selling those ID 1700 has a fuel system of the caliber needed for sale too. And he’s a good guy, FAST car, low eights shooting for 7’s now, his stuff is good stuff I’ve purchased from him before, I’ll see if I can find the links for you.
