I’m wanting to chrome everything out under the hood. I know billet can do it and I do plan on ordering from them for the majority of the parts. Actually I was planning on just getting it ordered as the satin(silver raw aluminum) and polishing it my self.

I was also wanting to chrome my Bwoody CAI and my supercharger cover as well as the grey parts on the valve covers. I was planning on ordering some spray chrome from peacock labs and sealing/protecting it with a layer of clear coat that is rated for higher temps.

Has anyone attempted this? If so are there any tips/tricks you can offer to help me along the way? I have seen the supercharger chrome covers but I want the factory cover just chrome.

Here is an example pic of the intake and how I’m trying to make mine look.

These are just my thoughts but I'd think of polishing over chrome. I say this because while chrome looks Great on most stuff, it also holds heat, which is not the best thing for performance (heat soak and such). If you polish it and then clear coat it, it might not have as much bling but would still look Great and work better than chroming it.

Just my .02 and you usually get what you pay for! :D

By the way, that's a Nice looking engine bay! The blower cover actually looks polished instead of chromed. I just compared the brightness of the intake tube (looks chromed and if polished, the polisher did a FANTASTIC job on it) and it's not as bright or shiny. Just a guess though and I'm no expert by any means!

Nice looking blower cover what was the process there? What strut tower brace is that any issues on the install?
Great bay👍
I wish it was mine but it was actually someone’s who posted it to the Bwoody Instagram. I was told it is painted to look chrome. I’ve been speaking with Peacock Labs hoping to get more info on the process. They explained it pretty much all I need to do is get one of their kits and seal it with a clear coat that has a high temp rating. My hope was someone has already done something similar and could share notes. I intend to chrome out certain parts of my engine bay

The strut tower brace I’m fairly certain is from speedlogix. I do have the same strut tower brace but mine is black. I was wanting to keep the factory look for that part.
