Hey guys/gals, I have a 15 A8 HC in Sublime Pearl with stock red brembo's. Appears the Clearcoat is flaking off. Any suggestions? Powder coat sublime? Powder coat back red? Color match sublime paint? Thanks

Are you modded or factory original? That would be how I would decide. If you don't mind altering the car I like the idea of color matching those brembos. I've seen a pair of sublime green Brembo calipers for sale on this forum.. not sure if those were custom or offered at one point as a factory item FYI.

Car has kooks, 2.85 upper, demon injectors, and tuned. As far as brakes, wheels, suspension, etc.., all that is stock.

Do not buy someone elses used powdercoated calipers. Trust me.
I paid $1,100 shipped for used ones and had to get them redone. I have about $2,000 total into them now, could have done mine in the winter for $1,000 total.
Take yours off and pay to have them done.

Wow! Those look REALLY awesome! Just made up my mind. So yours are color matched paint then? Clear coat over the brembo sticker? Thanks for the pic. I appreciate that. Looks great!

That is powder. No clear over the sticker.

buy a new caliper for $350.00 sell the old ones for $200+- . Ceramic coat the new ones and never use anything but car soap and water and they will look perfect for 7+ years
That's actually not a bad idea. But I really like they way @GreenMachine15 did his calipers. I'll probably end up going the route he did. Switching out mine for new ones would be an inexpensive route tho. Thanks for the insight.

Nice! Do you have the shop info that did these for you by chance? Thanks
I had a friend do them. Any powdercoat guy should be able to match them.
Never use wheel acid on your car, simple green is as tough as I would go on wheels and calipers.

Ok, good deal. I usually just use car wash soap and water. I do have a local powder coating guy here in southern Indiana that I've used for my jeep bumpers. I'll check with him.

Looks really nice. You don't ever have any issue with the brembo sticker coming off?
