I highly doubt owning them will EVER be banned. As the electrification of the fleet takes place, and the appliance-only wanting masses go electric, cars like these will be fewer and fewer as a percentage of the fleet as a whole. They will eventually be in the minority so much that emissions from them will no longer be an issue. The collector ICE vehicles will always be around as relics of a time gone by, and won’t be the targets of new government regs bc there just won’t be enough of them to be a problem. And yes, due to this, they will always be cool and desirable. The few kids who are young now and into high performance cars will place legendary, iconic vehicles like the Hellcat squarely in their sights when they’re old enough and well-heeled enough to buy. My kid won‘t have to buy one though haha, he’ll get mine. That’s my take anyway.
The above assuming of course we don’t blow ourselves up first, or get killed off by a super virus that no one wants to take a vaccine for haha.
