I just got a call from my local dealer saying that I've been "selected" to buy a King Daytona Charger. But there asking $10k over sticker plus a $5000 deposit. Confused about whether I should turn it down or bite the bullet. But after doing some more in-depth research Id rather customize a Charger REWB to my liking. The only thing that is telling me to bite is that "Limited to 300 examples". Let me know y'all thought I have until the end of mid-day tomorrow to give my verdict

I don’t think you can order a 23 redeye charger. I think it has to be a jailbreak redeye charger. From what I have heard, many dealerships are tacking on markups on those as well. Final point is that those are also limited allocations, albeit not 300. Does this local dealership even have any allocations for the jailbreak redeye Charger?

Gotcha. I wouldn’t pay the markup either way…but thats just me. All things equal, I would get what you like and not worry about the limited edition stuff.

you can but they won’t take that. I read that ghosts sold for 50k over sticker.

to the OP if that’s a car you really love I’d do it. But if not see what deal you can get on a custom order.
If your a collector the king Daytona will e more valuable however.

This is 2023 and the last year of the hellcats with special editions; big money is out and it’s a different game.
Msrp will be rare.

I had a tough enough time getting my 2022 JB at msrp. 2023 not going to happen for most!

You don't have to ask them, go to the website and look to see if they have one available.

Good decision. Don’t allow yourself to get caught up in this sticker whirlwind. There is a really good chance that many will be regretting their purchases.

I have to wonder how many other people the dealer contacted with the same pitch. Maybe 100? And how many $5k deposits they'll take for the same car!
