I'm looking for a street tire with better traction than the P - Zeros I wore out quickly. I don't race at all. Just want a tire with a little more traction than the Pirellis. The Michelin 4S tire is on back order that I see. Anybody ever try the Continental tire listed?

You are talking about two different worlds my friend. The 4S is summer only, and DWS06 All Season. Unless you will be running it on a track, a good All Season will suffice like was said, and the Michelin AS4 is good. HOWEVER, you'll wear those out easily too. The only way to slow that down is wider and stickier in the back.

Thanks for the feedback guys! The 4S tire has a thread here, but I never really looked into the particulars of them. Yes.. soft tire.. not what I want. The Michelin AS4 was also on my screen, but at the end of the day I went with the new Conti. A tad cheaper and a little longer tread life. I expect to through a good 2 sets of rears for every front set.

Having 160,000 Viper miles under my belt since 2000... my 1st drive in the HC last summer had me remarking on how narrow the rear tires were in relation to the power

Of course, that's part of the great fun with this car! 😊

We have a set on our SRT Jeep and much better ride and tread life than the stock run flats. Granted they are not run flats but the Jeep has a spare so we are very happy with the DWS06 and will be adding these to the Hellcat when the stock tires are done.

DWS06s were my choice when ditching the run-flats on the 'Hawk. Also ran DWSs on a light car with better power to weight ratio than the 'Cat, and on a Golf R.
Yes, I like them.

Had a 275/315 combo with the DWS 06 on my Scat and I just installed 315s all around on the cat. That it, by far, my favorite tire. They have great performance, great ride, fantastic traction and superb wet grip. You won't be disappointed and you can usually grab them up on sale!

Tirerack is about as far as I go the last almost 30 years. They $246 and a $70 Visa card...so $228.50. Do they go cheaper sometimes elsewhere?

315s up front? What body and aspect ratio?

I have ran the DWS06 on a few of my cars (that I no longer own). They were great on my GC SRT with up to a foot of snow a few years back. No issues ever with them.

I replaced my Hellcat tires at 1500 miles with the DWS06. Still have them on my OEM wheels but I run around on a drag pack with the car.

Dumb question of the day as now you're giving me a 3rd tire to consider with all this good feedback on these. I know these are more all season tires but anyone have experience with these and the Continental Extreme Contact Sports?

I assume the DSW 06 will be better in the wet and cold but in central Texas cold is not really of any concern. Pop up showers do happen from time to time though. I'm staying with the 275/40's on my car as I don't drag or street race but would like to get some good traction too. I was originally looking at the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S but with the recent stock challenges started looking more at the Continental Extreme Contact Sports. Am I going to give up a lot of traction going with the DSW 06 over one of those other two tires?

I haven't ran the summer equivalent. I hear great things as far as traction and road feel but I cannot personally vouch for that. Chose the DWS because of the tread wear rating. I was never able to get on it in second from a rolling start with the factory 305s but now that I've got some miles on these guys it is an absolute pleasure to finally gain some traction. You won't be disappointed good man.

I had the old style Continentals (non-plus) on a Roush Mustang and they were great. Just bough the DWS06plus for my 18' HC charger. They are a great tire with good traction, esp in the rain. The only things i've noticed with both the Conti tires is they develop flat spots when they sit for a few days, so until they warm up I get a shake in the steering wheel for the first couple miles that goes away once they reach operating temp. The sidewalls fee a little more loose than most tires as the car leans into them on any sharp curves. Just takes a little driving with them to get used to.
