Hi, I am Ed, live in Texas, and awaiting a Hellcat I ordered in early September (currently D1). I have had lots of cars over the years, and other than a few Jeeps, one of which I currently own, no MOPAR cars since the 70S. When I first ordered the car I was so excited I could not sleep in anticipation of driving everywhere sideways. For now I have curbed my enthusiasm until I receive and can experience the car. This is to protect my psyche. I do not want to be frustrated or disappointed by any ultimate delivery facts or any disappointment in the drive. Regardless of what the ultimate facts end up being, they can't be as bad as some of the the posts I have read would lead one to believe. These cars are being built to order and it has only been 8 weeks. So, to all I would urge, curb your enthusiasm and let the process work.

I like your thought process! Part of my enthusiasm is the anticipation! I am willing to wait for my Hellbaby cause it is worth it! It is my responsibility to keep everyone excited about their new beastie! They are gonna kick butt!:D

  1. That is a beauty of a car you have as your avatar! I bet that is a blast to cruise around in!:)
Thanks. It is lots of fun and used often for taking one of the children to school. I doubt that is a duty the Hellcat will get very often, particularly since this particular child will be driving soon.

Welcome eds! I agree with you. Enjoy the forums and these great people who are posting. They know a lot is speculation but are still willing to share thoughts and opinions in a productive and fun way. Really fun place to enjoy the wait for these cats! Welcome again!

You are exactly right HC1! Although I am fifty years old, and have owned a decent assortment of quick cars, I feel almost like a teen again, anticipating sitting behind the wheel of a hi-po car for the very first time, it's surprisingly exciting!!!

It's hard to curb your enthusiasm with a car like this,, it's like we're all buying our first fast car

Thanks. I'll watch the speculation. The fun for me will come with the car and watching on the site the different things people are doing with the cars. For example, I am particularly anxious to see and benefit from the experience of others with the wheels and tires.

My work here is done!!:D
Tammie, I recall in one of your prior posts, you mentioned liking some great music (ie: Metallica, Offspring, AC/DC) and I coincidently just saw Offspring recently in concert (along with Bad Religion and Pennywise) great show. I wanted to mention something that really made me lust for Mopar power, years ago, AND is a kickass song, by a band that almost nobody seems to know about! Look on youtube, for Pretty Maids Future World. It's an old music video, circa late eighties, but it's AWESOME, a really sweet song, and the video includes a Hellcat-of-it's-day, in some sweet hi-po driving scenes, I remember loving that vid, years ago, and wanting a highpower Mopar, that much more, because of it. So, if I get my preference, of the first thing I'd do when I take delivery of my Challenger Hellcat, it would be to play that song "Future World" at about as loud as it'll go, as it's very rockin' (and a very appropriate video for a Hellcat!)

Welcome to the site, Ed. I, too, share your view of the whole process. While I'm anxious about the fact that I ordered 9/9 and am in BX status with only a VON, I realize that I will eventually get my car. I ordered with late availability options (Black Laguna, Black Satin Hood) and since I wanted the car as ordered, did not change just to get it sooner.

That is too cool! They had the full 80's Rock going on. I cannot believe I never heard of them! That car is awesome! Good share!:)
