Proves that the word even from those who are somewhat connected is almost always wrong.I live near the Brampton plant in Canada where all the Chargers and Challengers are made and word is the Hellcat production for 22 is done and they are asking for retirements to begin layoffs.
Right but I would guess for the time next year or year after, like when after current production at Brampton is finished and the new cars or whatever they will be building there get going. Don't think they're cutting anybody now, they've been working extra most every Saturday with two shifts trying to get these cars built.FWIW...the Brampton layoffs or early retirement packages were just in the news a few days back.
Do you or anyone on here know if the (year 22) Jailbreak models ordered and built from later this year or say the beginning of next year coming from Brampton will have the “Emblems” indicating their one of the last? I ordered mine a couple months ago and i have a VIN but I don’t have a build date yet. And I would love to get my emblem under the hood. I would even wait a lil while longer fit it
Tim K in the reveal talking about allocations mentioned the Super Stock so sounds like yes they will be available.Does anyone know if Dodge with produce the Challenger Super stock in 2023?
Didn't see anything on the union Twitter about it so they must have been running. They did chop 4 hours off the day last Friday.Any idea if plant is closed Monday?
And here's another easy link..yeah it works from another device, well then disregard my comments lol

Funny this comes up now when they just posted that they are running a double shift tomorrow.Inside report from the factory.... there is a dynamic sensor shortage. All cars use them. Enough to build some car tomorrow and then they are out of stock. Production stops sometime tomorrow. Vendor unsure if it will be a week or 3 months to restock!
This info come from the guy at the factory reporting on jailbreaks getting built everyday on the jailbreak FB page.
Interesting, nothing on the Union Twitter about it.Just went to the source and called the plant. Shut down starts tomorrow for one week.
Two shifts always Mon-Fri and usually at least one shift on a Saturday although you will see posts here when they add a second shift on Sat, normally not much going on Sundays. Here's to hoping they are back at it today. How many shifts do they typically work each day, just one shift?
Have you checked China or Taiwan?Interesting. As a lawyer I am able to check for bankruptcy filings. There is nothing recent, within the last week, for a microchip company...
Is the VIN format for the pilot cars the same or is the first digit in the six different? Also, there was 10 more 2023 Pilot cars that went down the line as well. 4 of those were Hellcats.

Listen to dfajon, find another dealer. Even Tim Kuniskis himself said to find a dealer with an allocation and do not waste your time on a dealer without one, in the past that allocation may have come at some point but this year is different. Time to move on!Ordered at orlando dodge at W colonial dr. They were asking 5k over msrp. frostbite blue with red interior.
They have never built in VIN order, ever. It's just not possible. What if car #000020 has a problem, you gonna stop the whole line til you get it worked out? No way, the line must stay running. So you build what you can and eventually hopefully all will get built.Question for the group.
It seems these cars are built not in any particular order. scervantes above for instance, ordered in July. Being as that is after me, I assume the VIN is a higher number than mine. I always thought they were built sequentially, i.e., the first one build is 001 and the last built is the last VIN issued. When did that all change??
Well, they're building about 750 cars per day (used to be almost 1,000 before all this BS started) and the Charger and Chrysler 300 also share the same VIN sequence so in 3 days that's over 2,000 VINs so it doesn't take long to be thousands out of sequence. It's just not anything they have or will concern themselves with, they'll build each car when they're ready and have the parts.Yeah, I see and understand that.
I'm talking 1000s different numbers though, not a hiccup in the line.
Not complaining, just something that crossed my little brain.![]()
