Sorry I meant to ask how long it normally took from when the car is built to being shipped to the dealer. I just checked and it looks like its being shipped dont know how long before it arrives to the dealer.
Sorry I meant to ask how long it normally took from when the car is built to being shipped to the dealer. I just checked and it looks like its being shipped dont know how long before it arrives to the dealer. That stat wouldnt apply for my morning post since no cars are reported shipped for the day at that point. Are you wanting the BS (build) to WS (shipped) for just the 595 cars I reported last night or in total for the year?
For just yesterday, BS to WS was 0 days. (meaning every car that was shipped last night started production yesterday) If you want average for the entire year: 4.7 days.
Keep in mind, this number would NOT include any car that is still waiting since they havent shipped yet, which are almost all going to be more than the 4.7 days so they would increase this number. Current average for all cars still waiting is 84.1 days and if I combine the both sets the average sits at 8.2 days.
Maybe a more useful number would be to only consider cars built in the last 30 days?
Those are as follows,
BUILT AND SHIPPED: 0.8 days
BUILT AND WAITING: 6.4 days
COMBINED: 1.8 days
If anyone has a better suggestion for a more meaningful way to interpret the numbers please let me know and I will do my best to accomodate

I have only collected data from Stellantis/FCA going back to 2015 as I was interested in the complete Hellcat powerplant. Sequential VIN production has never been the case. I know it is for other manufacturers, but they also assign the VIN's as the vehicles go down the line rather than when the order is accepted like Stellantis/FCA does.Question for the group. 😄
It seems these cars are built not in any particular order. scervantes above for instance, ordered in July. Being as that is after me, I assume the VIN is a higher number than mine. I always thought they were built sequentially, i.e., the first one build is 001 and the last built is the last VIN issued. When did that all change??
Edit: mine is not in production yet.

ex. For todays 791 builds that I found, the VINS range from 103265 to 260093 which are accepted dates of 2/13 to 10/25. So the oldest order built today was 270 days old, the newest was just accepted 16 days ago.
How long have you been waiting? I originally ordered in January and took delivery in april but had to return that car because I couldnt register it in CA it wasnt a 50 state complaint vehicle for emissions.Question for the group. 😄

They have never built in VIN order, ever. It's just not possible. What if car #000020 has a problem, you gonna stop the whole line til you get it worked out? No way, the line must stay running. So you build what you can and eventually hopefully all will get built.Question for the group.

Well, they're building about 750 cars per day (used to be almost 1,000 before all this BS started) and the Charger and Chrysler 300 also share the same VIN sequence so in 3 days that's over 2,000 VINs so it doesn't take long to be thousands out of sequence. It's just not anything they have or will concern themselves with, they'll build each car when they're ready and have the parts.Yeah, I see and understand that.
I'm talking 1000s different numbers though, not a hiccup in the line.
Not complaining, just something that crossed my little brain.![]()
Congratulations, now where’s the pics? Let’s see it!@triple_B, thanks for your help!
I picked up my Jailbreak Charger in Hellraisin yesterday, same day as it was delivered. Shipped 7/1. Awesome car.
It looks like it! Congrats man a 23 already in D status. Impressive!
See if your sales rep with Cummins can give you an updated POC. It will show any additional scheduled dates that are available as well. Estimated Build date, ship date etc.
That would be in the chart on page 1 of this threadTripleB - Do you have a 2022 Hellcat production total to-date? Just curious how many '22 have actually been built.
