Green Vehicle Car Automotive design Hood

Someone posted these on Facebook. This Hellcat was damaged at the train yard by an utility truck. Never made it to the customer. Pretty sure it was headed to Ourisman in Clarksville, MD. Anyone here?

I would be beyond hot. This probably means this guy/gal won't be getting their Hellcat this year.

They are probably still going to want over MSRP for this one. Sorry for who was waiting for this esp with the matte hood. I have a feeling they didn't say anything to this person except that they are still waiting.

I'm calling the dealership tomorrow. I knew they were getting two Subline HCs in. F6F got his so this was the other one. This dealer sells at MSRP so this sucks for the dealer and customer.

After waiting soooo long on the stinkin hood, and then this? Looks like primer at the top of the crunched area, not rust.

Stuff happens. I'll take it, as-is:D

That little bit of surface rust (which it appears to be) indicates it's a fairly recent hit, much longer and the rust would be worse. Surface rust literally appears overnight.

Wow that's insane, bet they drove it fast and hit it on purpose exiting the transport or they were high or drunk

I don't think they even ship out damaged vehicles, do they? I've always been under the impression that if there is damage prior to being shipped, it doesn't go.

Damage during shipping is dealt with at the dealer, either repaired or replaced.

And of course I can't remember my source for that, I want to say a former Chrysler shipping employee.

Check your rotors 5 mins after you wash the car :)

Of the thousands of cars in that shipping yard, they manage to hit probably 1 of a handful of Hellcats in the lot. You gotta be pissing in my ear and telling me it's raining.....

I'd imagine Fenkel gets that car. New fender, new front facia, fix any other damage.. Maybe a hood (can't really tell). Then some paint. Delays, delays and then dealer delivery.

Does it work that way? Fenkel definitely does the transit repairs. Just not sure how this plays out... Does it go to the dealer or does Dodge take it back and auction it or something. I bet the fix and it gets delivered.

I'm thinking more extensive than that. Dent is pretty deep. I'm guessing it took out the corner section of the engine bay cross member that sits ahead of the intake and upper radiator hose. That's difficult to reform. That would also take out all of the plastic shrouding and perhaps one of the intercooler cooling ducts that i think are at each of the front corners. Driver side headlight assembly also looks like toast.

Ya, looking again I see your point.

What interests me here is knowing if Dodge has this fixed by Fenkel and shipped or if it has some other fate... I would think this is an in transit repair but don't really now how it all works.

Another interesting thing (to me anyway). The person that posted that to Facebook most likely works at the yard. I would think that taking that photo and posting it to a social media site would be a violation of some sort of corporate policy.
