Dealer Emblems

So I have had nothing but good experiences with my dealer so far ordering my car and I couldn't be happier with them. I already got my friend to by a Grand Cherokee from my sales woman and would refer anyone looking for a car to her.

But I think that the dealer emblem on the back of the car is just about the ugliest one I have ever seen. Since I don't plan on letting the dealership hold onto the car very long, does anyone have any good tips for removing the emblem without damaging anything. The only thing that would look worse would be messing up the paint. Any advice is much appreciated!!

Dealer Emblem ? I don't think I've seen one of those in years..... anyway, if you have a great relationship with them, just tell them not to place the emblem on YOUR kitty. Your the customer. Tell them you will keep the paper license plate "advertisement" on until your plates come in. I hate that item, it makes the kitty look cheap.

Take yor time when removing the emblem. It has a sticky glue to the paint.

In warmer temps, it comes off better than cold. Spray some WD40
on there as you are removing it. Take your time and it will come off.

Just tell your dealer not to place it on the car or it will cost $1000
for placing their advertisement on there.

I would tell them NO EMBLEM! I have already talked to my dealer about the care and feeding of my Hellcat when it arrives. I would force your hand on that. Yuuuuucccckkk! That would ruin your Hellbaby!
They're not giving me special consideration on the sale, or compensating me in any way to advertise for them, so it's not going to happen.
IF they put a sticker or "emblem" on your car, you can have them remove it before you leave their lot, OR remove it yourself if you don't want to deal with the issue. A hard plastic squeegee (like those used in applying vinyl decals) and some WD40 (as Tspoon suggests) will remove the adhesive without damage to the finish. Take your time and don't "force" the issue. Slow and steady removal wins the race.

Do not move the car off their lot until all such crap is removed by them.

They will understand .
I have bought a lot of new vehicles and they were fine with not putting them on the wife's car bought last year of the lot all ready had one on and they were glad to take it off.
But they might try to put a plate frame on . But that is easy to remove.

That's an easy fix. Going from temporary Ohio tags to NY tags anyway.
If the dealer is helpful and doesn't screw you on the prices why not use the license plate frame. I will for my wife's but NO decals.

I will use the plate frame until my regular plates come in. My dealer has been awesome and I like to send business his way, but he knows I do without driving a moving billboard for him.:D
I will tell them to not touch my car until I get there to watch come off the truck,That's what I told my dealer, I will be there the entire time, Watching come off the truck, Riding with the tech on the inspection, and there watching it have its first bath.. Its like a new born all over again...

Yep. I am hoping to be able to do that too. My dealer is going to try to keep me in the loop as it moves up here. Depends on my schedule as to whether I can be there, but the owner already told everyone nobody drives it but him and they will hand wash it. I already told the lot boys tips for them all to be very careful and get it perfectly clean.:D
Yeah, I'm properly the worst ocd customer ever,,, when took my car in for its first oil change I watched it the entire time,, and that's just my 300

Yep, can totally relate. I will only deal with one service manager there and I watch them the whole time. They have learned not to play when I tell them what is up with my car.o_O
Can you imagine what will be like with our hellcat

I think my service manager is already sweating bullets. I am going to make them use the bay right in front of the window and door so I can stand there and watch. I already asked him about Pennzoil Ultra Platinum to make sure they had 0-40. I think he rolled his eyes whenI wasn't looking.

Yep. I wanted to make sure they had it at the dealers for the first oil change cause I was gonna bring it in myself if they didn't. I am not that trusting when it comes to critical things like that.:)
Yeah, It better be coming out of a box with 6 one quart bottles, If I'm paying I think they said 180 for a oil change, it better be the best of everything

I think it might be 7.5 quarts! I can usually buy a package of 4 oil changes at a discount.
