Here is a guy who records a dealership conversation and then further elaborates on the dealer saying that he can expedite his JB order thus push it through the production chain so that he can receive it quickly. Also, he received his VON# on day one which is different from just about everyone on here, including me. Everyone that I know had to wait for it but I guess that's a minor point in comparison to the dealer's claimed ability to create a rush order that we would all love to have but have been told does not exist. Every dealer seems to be able to do something different or not do anything at all in some cases. It's pathetic. I'll let you be the judge of this one and let us know your thoughts.

Dodge is pumping them out.

Ok. I'm going to listen to what you tell me to do because you're......a nobody? If you didn't like the post you could have kindly ignored it because I don't recall asking for anyone named Warson to please tell me exactly what YOU think about any of it. You're like a child aged bully telling someone to go away because they're new and/or you don't like a post. Try your best to be decent and just stop. It's not called for son.

I know for sure that no cars can be "pushed through" except in extreme cases (such as above) and that requires at least plant manager or higher authority to even do that.
It's interesting and for the record, I'm glad that they're doing right by him but I've heard of other guys having to wait 6 months in limbo...thinking that they were getting a JB only to be somehow rejected or told that the order could not go through etc...after waiting and wasting their time when they could have gone elsewhere. It seems like they could do right by more people who have been thoroughly mistreated in the process if they wanted to. though admittedly, this guy was by far treated the worst. Thanks to you and (almost) everyone here for your perspectives.

Thank you, I work for the company and have had a Super Stock on order for months and its sitting in D status just like the rest that are waiting to be built. I have a few connections and can not even find out for sure that it will be built?! I just have to wait and hope like everyone else.

This issue is a little bit different though. He already paid for a car and waited, got it built, but due to an order error, they built him a non-California certified car and the state refused him the ability to register it. Dodge had to take the car back. They could have either tried to resolve it and get him a cali certified car or tell him to flap in the breeze. In this specific case, 100% of the onus was on the dealership and the manufacturer. The buyer was an innocent party.

My issue was also pretty crappy. Dishonest dealer ended up screwing me out of 2 cars (my 2020 and the one I was promised to receive to replace it). Without going back and rehashing the whole thing, I ended up waiting almost 6 months, only to have the unallocated build (which was sworn to me was allocated) go backwards in build status. I canceled it myself rather than wait for Dodge to cancel the order, as that seems like what was getting ready to happen. Had I decided to wait, it would have been 8-9 months at the earliest for me to receive it, and that's far too long to be without a car as the Hellcat I sold to make room for the JB was my daily. The reality is that my order would have likely sat another month or two and been canceled by the factory citing parts shortages.

I tried escalating it the best I could, but there's only so much area managers can do. I wasn't wronged in terms of financial damages... in fact I made quite a bit on my 2020 when I sold it and I got my deposit back. If anything, the Tallahassee dealership that screwed me is the only one who lost any money as they didn't get their sold order, didn't get to put my canceled JB on their lot, and I didn't sell my 2020 to them.
