This dealer I take my car to says they take the car for a test drive after oil changes to make sure all the oil goes through the system. This is not the first time I’ve caught them doing this I’ve talk to a couple people and they say this isn’t normal. Should I say something or just never go back there again?

That's wrong and say something and also never go back.

Not sure how engine oil flow or leaks would be more accurately monitored while in motion lol.

My dealer won’t drive the car - they will only drive in the car and the customer has to drive. They want nothing to do with the insurance or drama that can happen. They had a Warrenty item they repaired early on and the SRT tech said he would only drive after I asked and I rode with. Otherwise I have to drive. Don’t go back.

You don't need to drive the car to check for leaks or flow after an oil change lol. You let it run for a few minutes and check for leaks up on the lift. You have two options:
  1. Leave a negative Yelp review and never return
  2. Make a deal with them that if they take your car for a test drive after an oil change, you get to take their wife/gf out for a "test drive." I think that's fair

Yup. Both these things. And not to break your balls, and Im sure you have your reasons, but do your own oil changes. Piece of mind and pretty simple. Save a few bucks too.

That’s the absolute BS. Every time I take the car to service, I always put the car in valet mode.

Man, I would’ve raised hell if they did that to my car. F them.

‘I take my cars to a quick oil change place. I know the owner. He owns 3 of them.
And I can stand right next to my car and watch them. They always do a good job.

So why is everyone SO worried? Seriously. What exactly bothers you? They will turn the tires? Mine has a specific route to take to check for suspension noises; like speed bumps. My OLD GM dealer did an oil change (I was a quart low), and did not follow the TSB (Cadillac V with a hard to read dipstick) which said to take it for a short test drive, park on a level surface, and check after at least 4 hours. See, I also have a dash cam that records when the engine is running........... 😁
