Ok guys so I'm going to sign the paper work for my car...... still waiting on the actual car though 😭. Any way. What are all your opinions on the dealership Mopar warranty? It's $2,000.00 or for me an extra $30.00 on top of my monthly payment. The chance of me modifying the car is high. Not initially but eventually. She told me I can cance the warrant any time and they will give me the difference. Well not me it'll be taken off the total of the car. If you have it have you had to use it? Is it worth it? What does it really cover that the factory warranty doesn't? Thanks for any advice reply's or opinions in advance guys. This is my first time buying brand new and I'm not sure I'm sold on the whole idea of an extra warranty.

If you plan on modifying, I wouldn't get the extended warranty. You'll have the factory warranty and from the sounds of it you might not even make it through that before modifying - so you'd likely never even get into the extended warranty.

Plus, if you already have thoughts of cancelling the extended warranty in the future, save the headache and just avoid it from the get go.

Extended warranties can cover basic powertrain to everything. Length of coverage also varies based on time and mileage. Cost will also be driven by the amount of deductible you choose. So lots of options on how you want it. And if it wasn't the Mopar warranty, I wouldn't even consider it.

It is a Mopar extended warranty. Yeah I think I'm leaning towards not getting it. My payment is 827 without it with it it'll add 34 dollars per month.

I went online to get the Mopar warranty myself. Somewhere around $1,200 for what I’m guessing is the same one the dealership would offer. Waste of money for me though. They say it’s a 7/70 but when you deduct the factory 3/36 plus drivetrain warranty, you’re pre-paying for a warranty you’ll probably never use. I was only 2 years in and transplanted a 426 stroker build into it so feel pretty stupid now :ROFLMAO:.

The advantage to the extended warranty, even if you mod is the other things covered. Radio takes a shit and the warranty paid for itself. Seat heater dies, again, paid for itself. My warranty covers lost keys and curbed wheels.
