The Redeye Stage Kits, which were available on the new Direct Connection website (DCPerformance.com), have now been delayed until they pass California emissions.

The following message has been added, in bold, to the description section of the Redeye Stage Kits:

Announcement regarding ordering and availability for the Tuner and Stage kits will be based on CARB certification approval timing

The Stage Kits were originally supposed to be available at launch along with Direct Connection.

..... which probably means that it will never happen!
I hope not, but think you could be right. These performance kits could go the way of the now defunct Enhanced Security Valet Mode.

I made a post about this in another thread... Why announce something you're not 100% sure you can deliver?

Dodge needs to learn: Always under promise and over deliver.

The rest of the security update is still a go. I’m getting mine done tomorrow.

It is not unusual for a mfr to announce a product before it is ready for market. Sometimes they use it to gage the market before making the final costly commitment. If the market reacts badly, they pull the plug before the big $ are spent.

I have to wonder if Dodge was doing the same, but not just gaging the interest from us, a very tiny market segment, but also what $ Dodge can extract from their specialist dealers. My guess at this point is that the total $ projections are not adding up to what they expected. We might be guinea pigs getting jerked around in this market test.

Make sense but I sure hope you’re wrong.
