Diablosport suspension controller

What does everyone think of this? I'm curious as to whether or not this decreases shock life more than normal, what the cost of the controller will be & actual proof of handling improvement. Saw their video & all it showed was cars launching. Nothing with street driving or road course...

Yep, I'd tack that "white wire" to the PCB with about 4 spot bonds to prevent a future failure due to vibration / flexing of the wire across that span since it's located behind the driver side rear wheel. At least a suspect condition if someone's DS / DSC suspension controller goes down in the future. I wonder what the fail safe state of the suspension controller is (last setting, OE street, limp home mode, . . .)?

Still waiting on a shipping notice or an email notification that it's been delayed for mine. Ordered from DS on 3/25. Maybe they are fixing the number of allowable read / write cycles? I'd be happy with the delay if it's for that reason.
I ordered in mid-March and likely won't see it at my door until June according to Summit. Shortly after placing the order they said it was on national backorder and I would be waiting until April 2022. That is a non-starter to have that kind of coin tied up in a part for a year. I am glad it changed.

Speedlogix might have a few of the Diablosport ones in stock.

For the DSC version, you can order direct. I'd recommend calling them 410-799-7798

I ordered mine from HHP and it shipped the next day basically.

No doubt the usual vendors bought stock and have some on hand. However, as I mentioned pages back, I had to get (chase) Summit on the case of adding it to their catalogue. So obviously their purchasing department weren't there yet. Mine is a tale of caution. Summit still has the best international customer service options for folks like me.

Also, I should clarify I should see the part in early-May, not June. Me not so math good.

Nice that you managed to get summit to purchase it.
I have only used them once before but they were not too bad. Not much experience with them though.

I'd be curious if someone else runs into a similar "lock out" tuning issue. It was explained again today by DSC that this is likely the case with the DiabloSport module; that it does become untunable after several read/writes. After talking with DiabloSport and DSC, Mike and his team at DSC offered to help see what's going on with my module so that is much appreciated!
New member, but was a reader of this thread before ordering. Got my Diablosport box a couple days after ordering it mid last month. Works well, feels more uniform front to rear where I felt the OE file was mainly stiffening rear rebound, but wasn't exactly sure what the file differences were between street-sport-track, so I read them using the DSC software. Once I got that sorted (my files matched the DSC sport files except for the launch timer was cut in half) I decided to check and set zero on the shocks. Seemed like a reasonable thing to do, driver and half fuel weight, leveled surface and all, but after the zero set and reset board, my box also has a read / function error. It seems to still be working properly in the car and I have no error lights (2020 Challenger), but communication is a no go using the DSC software. I never attempted to change the file settings, just did a shock zero procedure per the DSC sport video.

@rayzazoo

I just ran into the EXACT same situation as @SLR

Tried unplugging/replugging, reinstalling drivers, etc. No luck.

I’ll relay this to DSC and let them know. They should be receiving my box tomorrow morning so we’ll see what they say.

Seems like the extra $300 for the DSC box is the way to go with all these errors on the Diablo box &, essentially, making it a brick

My own perspective here, but once I saw that the files loaded in the box matched the files I downloaded from the DSC Sport website, I felt a lot more comfortable using it as provided, as in, it's not just a drag race setup and is already using sorted out DSC files. I felt like I needed to do that for my own curiosity since the info from Diablosport seemed a little vague. I'll take what it does to improve the handling and keep the cost difference. No wrong answer either way, just personal preference.

Mike and Jeremey are out of office until Monday, however, talked with DiabloSport and they said they are working out the issue with DSC. DiabloSport also said they have no issue unlocking the controllers so it sounds like we'll regain tunability once the bug is worked out.

DSC finally got back to me & they told me the Diablo tune is more suited for drag racing than theirs so now I am confused lol

Due to DS and DSC Sport having two different files loaded -- albeit just one difference being the launch timer.

I've cancelled my DS suspension controller order until they get a fix in place and hopefully an end user firmware installation program for any future firmware.

I ended up pulling mine out and requesting a refund after it locked up and prevented me from adjusting anything.

Hope they figure out the issues :/

So you don’t void their warranty at all on the product when you monkey around with the files inside the module? That’s actually impressive

I tried to say this back in post 75!!!!!

There additional differences other than just the launch timer. Look in the shock calibration files / tab and you will see differences there also.

You can use the Diablo calibration as the baseline and adjust from there or leave it alone or download and start with DSC's file and do the same. The boxes and calibration software from either vendor (have to go to DSC website to get the software) are the same so it is just the calibration that you load or adjust that change how it makes the car perform / react. One box is not built for one application (drag/road course) it is the calibration that is loaded that makes changes and thus makes the effects more suitable for a particular application.

I know, but I don't want to have to do a bunch of tuning. I want a map for turning that is good on the street & just enjoy the car. That's the whole point of dropping $1k...

@rayzazoo

Did you hear back on your controller yet?

I made one update to my controller and now I'm getting the same connection issue like @SquirrelMaster and @SLR
