Vehicle door Automotive exterior Finger Hand Auto part
This happened to me about a month ago, but I have been busy and just didnt get around to posting. I am currious is anyone else had this happen to them. Its kinda funny and messed up at the same time.

The day after I took delivery of my hellcat, I noticed the center lens was still installed in the driver side headlight, thus restricting air intake (I didn't notice at dealer because it was afterhours and too dark). At the time, I thought wth? I had to wait extra days while the car sat in the railyard so it could be inspected, and no one saw that one of the most publisized features of the car was not correct. Nice. It took me about 5 minutes to take it out, so no big deal and I moved on with enjoying my new ride.

Then I saw this on allpar:

All 2015 Challengers Have Hellcat Headlights Allpar News

So all 2015 challengers have the same headlights as the hellcat (the aftermarket will soon hop all over that). Has this happened to anyone else, or am I the unique lucky owner of an extra inner headlight lens?

You are the lucky one. I did notice the passenger side also would pop out but I didn't do it. I might. :)

Okay I noticed my passenger side had it blocked, and dear husband said it is supposed to be there. So to be correct both passenger side and driver's side should have an opening that air can come in...right? Why didn't they notice it at the dealer or when I took it in to get my first fluid change??

Just the drivers side should be open. Passenger should have the center lens.

LOL, maybe the dealer thought it was supposed to have it and ordered the part and put it on before you took delivery? :D I remember one guy saying his salesman came up to him all worried about his left inner headlight having a hole in it and he would order a new one, completely oblivious that it's supposed to be that way.

Mine came with the hole in the driver side as its supposed to be. And yes, people are already (and for a while now) removing the piece on their non-Hellcat models and buying the Hellcat airbox to have the same setup.
