I go to the track often usually anywhere between 2-4 times a month and race on my 305-35-20 Nitto 555R2 drag radials. I'm waiting for my 17" track wheels to come in and will get some MT tires on them.

I'm looking into a DIRS diff brace and trying to decide whether it's necessary for my car since it's stock power and keeping it that way since it has factory warranty on it. My Cat is a 2019, I'm not quite sure if it has the same driveshaft and stuff as the earlier 15 models or if it has been upgraded.

I'm aware getting a diff brace technically does void warranty and would have to remove it before bringing it to service as that seems to be the way to have your cake and eat it too. I'm also aware it seems like dealerships aren't so willing to want to cover any kind of damage related to a differential and or driveshaft. I figure I protect the car for what it's worth as it seems like in racing it's not a matter if, it's a matter when.

Let me know your opinions if I need a diff brace or not?

Unless you're running it hardcore at the track, I wouldn't while it's under warranty (unless money is no object). Main reason is they are looking for any and all reasons to say no on a warranty claim. Why even give them a chance to be honest?

If its a weekend warrior on street tires, I would run it as it is..... but if you're going to be 75-100% on DR's, then it's probably the smarter move regardless.

I agree but at the same time I wouldn't bring it in for service with the diff brace on as I would take it off before hand. I figure since I'll be going on a 17" wheel with a stickier drag radial like a Mickey, chances are I'm more likely to run into an issue?

I put a Per4Mance Billet Brace on mine.

On the street the stock A/S's would hop before the brace, I still get hop but it's not as bad and it's somewhat predictable.

At the track on DR's before the brace I had a couple instances of brutal wheel hop on the 2nd gear upshift .

That's why I decided to install the brace.

Still had a few instances of wheel hop on DR's after the brace but it was no where as violent and I was able to lift and ride it out.

I have the 2.62 rear and full weight/3.4 tank gas and my big ol butt I cut 1,54xx sixties regularly, had a best of 1,5388 once. I love this monster.

It does seem to track a little straighter after the brace.

As far as warranty, My car isn't going back to the dealer for anything power train related, If it breaks, I'll fix it on my dime and build it back better.
