Screaming/whining. Same thing to me. No one wants to do the leg work themselves. And yeah that’s what I meant about DC - more of a joke imo. People constantly tagging what is clearly just a PR secretary makes it worse.

From what I understand is the buyer is given much smaller list of approved dealers. Chosen Dealership gets the sale at reduced rates (essentially cutting margins for salesman & overhead costs) yet those only chosen Dealerships get the chance at the sale. Those that aren’t on the list (usually smaller) can’t compete. Keep in mind all these dealerships regardless of brand are constantly being asked or mandated to comply with expensive EV charging stations, service equipment upgrades & new emergency equipment so they must finance the farm (pay to play).Pretty sure it still goes to a local dealer for PDI before delivery to you. Even Corvette does it this way for factory delivery.

Definately repeated whining about the PR secretary I agree.Screaming/whining. Same thing to me. No one wants to do the leg work themselves. And yeah that’s what I meant about DC - more of a joke imo. People constantly tagging what is clearly just a PR secretary makes it worse.
Well, tonight I am extremely disappointed after I got a rendering finally showing up beside my order.
This is the car I thought I had ordered:

I apologize to anyone who likes these wheels, everyone has their own tastes, but I am extremely saddened. It dramatically changes the look of the car, and I am just upset with dodge for not having an updated build experience for us to use to order these cars. This is not what I was expecting at all. (The dealer does know to leave the license plate off my car though, so at least there is that! lol).
I'm calling my dealer tomorrow to ask him if it's possible to order a set of '22 stock OEM wheels. It's just honestly killing a lot of the joy of ordering this car for me to have such a prominent feature swapped out from what I was expecting. This was my first ordered car and I can't understate how in love with it I was.
Emphasis on was.
Don't suppose anyone here is near Boston/new england and has very lightly used '22 stock wheels you want to trade? Or does anyone have input on how to get the wheels I wanted?

Did you order widebody? If so the 5-point wheel is not available, all widebodies get the wheel in the lower photo.Well, tonight I am extremely disappointed after I got a rendering finally showing up beside my order.

Did you look at OP's very first post? The one with the picture??Did you order widebody? If so the 5-point wheel is not available, all widebodies get the wheel in the lower photo.
Well, I would have to disagree just a little bit Jimmy. When I go to get tires it's like running a guantlet to get them put on and torqued to the correct spec without any damage. Told them I did not want an air wrench put on the wheels when they were tightened (I have a friend that has a set of lug nuts locked on from the same shop - been sitting now three years since nobody can figure out how to get to the studs to cut them off without body panels coming off - it's a custom Z car, don't know the details). Anyway, the air wrenches will round the lug corners and then be totally off on the torque spec. I offered to pay extra and supplied the wrench but it was no - they can't work slow like that. So, I said give me the floor jacks, show me a spot I can use and clear out. I will remove my wheels and I will put them back on and torque them. All you have to do is change the tires. Nope, they still put a couple small scratches on them which I buffed out. Anytime I start swapping wheels and changing tires it's on me to do as much of the handling as possible because if you don't ask then you may get a surprise. Some tire shops will look at the wheels on my Zl1 or SP with Dynamics Package (HC wheels) and just say no. They don't have the latest machine that put's the tire on without touching the rim. Will go through it again on my RE when I swap to DR's.Meanwhile, I simply bought a set of slingshots for my '18 as soon as I got it, because I prefer those over the 5-spokes it came with.
A grand total of 20 lug nuts' worth of work involved.
That WPJ wheel looks like Xss. The 22 wide body cars had couple different split spoke designs (one was standard) that looked fine but I would throw those WPJ's in the garbage. Brass monkey style looks fine - does that come in a black? If not how many cars does "brass" look good on? That selection went to sxxx. Wonder if what's listed for the WB's will get changed again as production gets moving? Oh well, another set can be purchased.I feel your pain about the bad wheel selection for 2023. This has been mentioned before in other threads.
For the Plum Crazy NBREJB I ordered, I wanted the WFC Machined Granite Pocket wheels that I got with my 2022. They are not offered on the 2023. I ended up ordering the optional WRJ Brass Monkey wheels which along with the WSE Matte Vapor 5-spokes were the only listed optional wheel on the ordering matrix for the NBREJB for 2023. If I could change my order I'd delete the Brass Monkey Wheels and just accept the standard split spokes, since I'm going to change wheels anyway.
I already bought a used set of the WFC wheels off of FB, got them stripped and powdercoated, and they are now sitting in the garage awaiting the car.
Here's my tracker rendering with the Brass Monkeys:

She.I did, but it's a rendering and as others have commented it may not represent what he ordered.
I have to admit that I left out what's probably an important part. I don't use tire shops.Well, I would have to disagree just a little bit Jimmy.
So yeah, I would rather just get the right wheels to start with then mess with my local tire shops.
More power to you Jimmy. That's the good thing about this board. You have a few that don't know a flat head from a phillips but there are a significant number that are master mechanics and can take a car apart and put it back together. I think your the first to buy your own tire machine - incredible. I hear people complain about rudeness on the board but I find that almost everyone is exceedingly polite and the knowledge level is just through the roof.I have to admit that I left out what's probably an important part. I don't use tire shops.
Got tired of dealing with the problems they often cause, and bad balancing jobs, so I got my own tire machine and balancer. With more than enough vehicles, having that setup saves a lot of time, and a bit of money.
OE wheels has them inexpensive. I put a set on my 06 SRT8 Chrysler 300, a set my 05 Chrysler 300, and a set on our 2022 Charger Scatpack. Not your style but wheels from them I mean. They have the ones you’re looking for tho.Well, tonight I am extremely disappointed after I got a rendering finally showing up beside my order.
