I'm 64 and only interested in cars that I can drive multiple times per week. Zero interest in buying a car that I might have to store for any length of time and can't enjoy it by driving it. Apparently the Ghost (and a bunch of Demons) are cars simply to collect and not drive. Nothing wrong with trying to invest or flip an asset that you anticipate will appreciate but that's just not something I have an interest in pursuing relating to cars. About the closest I would ever come in attempting to make money related to cars would be long dated put options on Tesla. Likely stick to less speculative investments and try to enjoy my depreciating assets (cars) before I expire. Why in the world would you want a Ferrari or Lamborghini if you have have a Black Ghost ... ?
Well, about 4-6 posters have been consistent since the outset saying the initial numbers were low and they would ring the register by making as many as they can. I called BS on the 29 NBRE's for the year. Counting what's already been sold they have roughly doubled that number and we're still in January. Somebody is going to be taken to the cleaners but it's nothing for me to celebrate. Folks just acting on the best information available which is turning out to to be waaaay off. Later in the year looks good on some better pricing IMO. Wonder if the guy that paid 200K for the 22 JB has sobered up yet.Triple B reported 57 Super Stocks already built, plus the 112 Dodge says available = 169 as a minimum. This was Dodges way to make sure everyone gets there dream car with a shotgun start in October, as they drove the AMDs for many of these models I paid 5k on RE myself. Releasing something new even if stickered SEs is brilliant for ringing the bell on the cashregister.
Big AMDs are going to really get people butt hurt if Dodge ends up doubling or tripling the production On 807 hp cars. Looks like SS & RENB are up a lot and production is only been 6 weeks.
They have always been like that. Their dealers are number 1 with customers somewhere below that. The net effect is Dodge doesn't care about the customer base as much as their dealer network.
Im in the same boat. Since this thread has started, I’ve been watching to see if my dealer will get a Redeye allocation so I can have them switch mine from a regular to a Redeye. They were allotted 3 more narrow body cats than they started with, but no Redeye or SS. My salesman knows I want mine a Redeye, so I’m crossing my fingers!Does anyone know what just happened?
So it appeared yesterday that a bunch of new allocations dropped for narrow body red eyes and wide bodies. To be exact some smaller sized dealers here in Massachusetts had a bunch of allocations pop up yesterday. One dealer in particular showed 7 nbre Challengers & 6 wbre challengers. Now they are all gone and everything is back to 0.
LOL maybe dodge read this thread and said oh shoot they found out what we did!
Anyway the dealership I spoke to this morning said yes he did see them yesterday but today they are all gone and he thinks there was a glitch in the system and he's waiting to hear back from his rep. Man I really had my hopes up on ordering a red eye locally and passing up on the regular Challenger I have an order in for.... 😔
You know this is what they are saying at Dodge now that they know, we know that they know.Interesting. The NB RE JB's are back down to 26.
Nice. In today's market 5k ADM over for an SS is a win.my dealer hiller dodge in marion mass. got a allocation for a SS by a corporate mix up they had a legit order in for a 22 SS that was not built long story short after going back an fourth with dodge they converted the order to a 23 an somehow at the other end they ended up with a duplicate order so dodge jus let them keep the second allocation an i got it ordered on sat a plmcrzy SS blk hood an pins an HK rear seat delete 5n9 code an their allocation was removed from the locator on monday 5 over MSRP got lucky i hope
M6 availability? Dont hold your breath.More allocations will be coming out in May/June for 6-speed MT cars as per what I was told about 2 weeks ago and they will be built through at least the end of the year, as per the current plan. I will only order a 6-speed Challenger Wide Body Hellcat albeit I just need to see what colors will be available...no info on that yet.
As per Matt McAlear (Head of Dodge//SRT Sales Operations), they are coming for sure, which he told me a couple of weeks ago. And if I get one I am having it converted into a convertible, the ultimate muscle car cruiser.M6 availability? Dont hold your breath.
