So we are looking at ordering a 2022 Dodge Durango SRT 392 to replace our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT. With used car pricing still very strong, it seems like a good time to make the switch. We wanted the lightweight package with the Durango that does away with the third-row seating. We also want the Technology Package. When we did the build and price it let us choose both. We sent the PDF to Koon's and they came back this morning and said we cannot order both. It is one or the other. What the heck?? So I called Dodge directly and spoke with one of the Dodge Customer Care reps and he confirmed that for some reason Dodge is not letting you combine these two options at this time. I cannot for the life of me understand what in the heck deleting the third-row seat has to do with Technology???

It's been this way for a few years now. One package requires two others and others can't even be ordered if another is chosen. Annoying.

On the Durango you get adaptive Crusie Control, Emergency Braking, Lane keep assist, lane departure
That emergency braking is a pain in the ass. If I get a little close to one side or the other backing out of the garage that that damn thing slams the brakes on and damn near gave me whip lash. The first time it happened I was like WTF?

Agree, it is on our GC, and half of those buttons are OFF, I can’t drive without that thing EM braking at least once, but they won’t let me drive in traffic too much anyway. I have a hard time distinguishing a HDPE Event from an interstate highway, when all the other drivers think they are as good as Jeff Gordon and the rest of NASCAR drivers. I always am searching for a safe spot. It never exists for more than a few seconds, before an a$$ needs to decide they will fit better in that space to be first to wherever. I keep that button and the lane stay assist off. I do like the adaptive cruise, that does help keep me sane when towing.

I thought antilock brakes on the '86's was the most intrusive "feature" ever... Much more to come. We will reach a point where the car will take control when you attempt to drive fast, try to drive at rush hour without a passenger, into a neighborhood where you are not welcome, whatever "they" decide...

Yep, those are more of the interesting items “they” will be doing to your EV each time you plug into a “their” rechargers, that WE paid for.

Never tried to remove it on ours as we do like it the way it is. However, when you drop the back flat, that becomes your elongated trunk. I would imagine that removing the seats would leave a void that might need to be filled with something else to ensure the trunk is fully usable, which might be what the delete 3rd row config does.
