All depends on who's buying and who did the work... but for most people, it will actually reduce the desirability outside of people who actually race them....Just curious in the process of putting a hhp shortblock in ...does that make it more desirable in selling?
Trade value, no. You would lose money or many dealerships won't accept it because of the significant powerplant modification (Online companies like Carvana, Vroom, Autotrader won't even consider it). And it goes without saying that if your HC is still under warranty, that's out the window. Private sale value might increase if the buyer tracks or autocrosses, but that wipes out 99% of all prospective buyers and makes for a lengthy sale if you have the patience. You almost never recover what you pay for in mods, and you should only mod for yourself and plan to keep the car.Just curious in the process of putting a hhp shortblock in ...does that make it more desirable in selling?
Yeah unfortunately my tuner cracked a piston and I need to get it fixed and there's no hellcat short blocks around other than buying aftermarket I've been trying to find a stock one but no luck.Trade value, no. Is it the stock serial number block? That is important.Just curious in the process of putting a hhp shortblock in ...does that make it more desirable in selling?
Also, no one has to know that you have better HHP internals.Just curious in the process of putting a hhp shortblock in ...does that make it more desirable in selling?

Yes, all engines and transmissions are still tied to the car's VIN as before.are modern motors even serial numbered to cars anymore? Are there factory replacement blocks that aren’t stamped?
We’ll that’s wrong as far as I’m concerned. I won’t touch a modded car but I do drive my hellcat to ice cream and church.I disagree . A new engine in any car is better then a worn out engine. A stronger engine is a plus. This is a hellcat not a neon people dont pony up the extra bucks to buy a hellcat to drive to church every sunday went a SXT is much cheaper and will do the same job and look very similar and has most of the same features. .While you never get every penny back it is still worth more then the same car with a high mileage worn out engine.
