So one feature that I have truly grown accustomed to in my other vehicle is the fact that the RF keyfob automatically locks the doors after you exit the vehicle and after a certain amount of time passes (10 seconds-ish). Thus you never need to take the keys out of your pocket or touch them.

I haven't found any similar feature on my HC and thus have nearly left the doors unlocked a couple times out of habit - is this feature present on the vehicle but I maybe have it disabled? Is it possible to add it with one of the uconnect apps (or whatever they are called lol)?

I don't think the Hellcat is a good vehicle for someone wanting a nanny to watch over them. I suspect your other vehicle has a speed limiter too.;)

The door button is a better option, you can hear it lock and you know its done. Just have to get used to it. The auto lock would drive me nuts since I am in the country and we don't even lock our doors on the houses around here. Of course everyone in my house has a CCW and is carrying a gun.

I do lock my cars when we go into town and watch where we park, so I am not an ignorant sheep, just saying no need to lock my car at home.:)

You don't need to take the key fob out of your pocket... Just press the little button on top of the door handle with key fob near
Ahhh good call, I forgot about that. I will definitely get in the habit of doing that!

Yeah it would be nice to be out in the country but the missus is terrified of not having immediate access to all those normal city life things (traffic, being able to look out your window and see your neighbor, all the finer things in life )
