hey guys so i recently got my car retuned e85, 2.5 upper , 10% lower, 1300cc injectors, along with fuel system , now i am trying to get some drag packs , however i really want 315s 45-50 on a 17 wheel, 5-115, and my questions were, has anybody run this combo on a narrowbody, and how wide a rim they use, also what offset is best? and if anyone has a clue where i can order a 315-50-17x11 rim an tire.? ty

I run these JMS Savages on my 19' NB Redeye, they fit well and look good and are $160 each. They are 17X10. For tires, if primarily for the strip, being a manual you may want to use the ET Street Bias Ply's which are easier to find than the 315/50/17 Et Street R radials. Another tire to consider is the Hoosier Drag Bracket Radial 29.5X10.5X17 - these hook better than the ET Street R's but are a true radial slick so you cannot drive at all in any sort of wet weather on them. With either of the big 17's you are going to have to flatten the rib in the wheel well - not a big deal and well covered on these forums.

Ty , Nate. most likely going to be getting the 10 wide with et street R mickeys , decided to put 315s on a 10 as 11s are quite impossible to find in the laguna weld wheel that i really like, will make some photos once i get the car back, and throw them on.

so guys ended up blowing about 3k all together, even thou welds were 50% off, so got a great deal , however between the rims , mickeys and a barrel of X it was a hefty price, car made 872hp and 825 tq , on the fourth run , after first 2 runs it went into limp mode, and 3rd run was 850, so back to back and 85 degrees in NC, got heat soaked but still put down good #S. A buddy of mine made 900 at wheel with same combo and auto on a 2,65 pulley, i have a 2.5 metco and manual, so Im thinking cold morning 920 at wheel should be possible.

bout 70+ gallons of E yesterday, at 2.20 a gallon , alot better than the 3.98 per gallon 93
,
Until it sucks up atmospheric moisture in a few days and throws the car into limp mode with all the water in the gas tank. Been there, done that ;) It's why I don't bulk buy E85 anymore.

see man , i mix it up with some ignite and sometimes X85 2 gallons per tank usually does the trick, plus all this e goes within 2 weeks.

Best of luck to you, but every E85 car I've owned blows itself up. E85 is just piss poor quality gas, but yours should be fine. It's that pump stuff you have to watch out and test.

Eh, I've had a couple of blown E85 cars. They are just unforgivable to any sudden change in fuel quality and/or concentration. You can get away with E85 on NA, but with an aggressive tune and a big power build (both of the cars I broke valves on were self-built, self-tuned >1,000whp Gen II Coyote Mustangs). I got sick and tired of inconsistent E85, so I overbuilt my last Mustang and got 1,024whp out of 93 octane and was done with it. I also made a 1,100hp AvGas tune which I used for GoFast! events.
