Good afternoon forum! Help me to make a decision…

I’m moving to a new house 1300 miles away. To get the cat there I can either drive it the whole way or pay a couple hundred bucks to rent an open trailer and haul it. Due to some circumstances, shipping the car isn’t an option. It’s a 2022 daily driver with 3700 miles on it, and I’d hate to put so many miles on a new car in one shot.

Thoughts? Has anyone had success trailering their hellcat? I’ll bite the bullet and drive if there’s a good risk of damaging the car.

Drive it. It’s the only way to really enjoy it. Road trips won’t hurt these cars. I already did 4 of those 1300 plus miles trips over the summer on my 22 Redeye. Can’t wait for the next road trip 😁

if you decide to trailer it, make sure to strap it over the tires. that’s how they’re delivered from brampton.

Tire Wheel Cloud Sky Car

I towed this one from NJ to VA last year. Uhaul one way trailer with Ram 1500 and barely knew it was behind me. Ditto on needing some extra boards to decrease ramp angle. The one way trailer rental was cheaper than gas and plane ticket.

I trailered my Redeye on a Uhaul trailer. Make sure you have some good straps and plenty of blocks to get the right angle on the ramps and keep the front splitter up off the trailer when the wheels go into the front pets. This video will give some good tips.

Daily Driver = Drive it.
Trailers are for track cars and trailor queens. Sounds like your neither.

Just took mine for a 500 mile roundtrip and was just perfect. Even got caught in a rainstorm. Imagine that - a wet hellcat.
These cars a made for it.

So, your goal is to have 1200 miles less on it when you sell it? So, what, it'll have 49,000 instead of 50.200? Unless it is a rare, extremely desirable 50yr old collector car with 3500mi, it won't make a bit of difference.
