Seeking opinions here. Maybe i can even get some like Dr Buick to to chime in..

If I was to send my hood away to be painted it could be gone 1-2 weeks.
Would it be detrimental to the car if I was to drive it occasionally without the hood? It is my daily driver but I do have other vehicles to drive from time to time.
One would at first think no hood would allow the heat to get out easier. But I wonder if the directed airflow is not necessary...
I somehow think wet weather would not be an issue giving the open vents that allow the water in regardless.

Bring em on...

Perhaps consider buying and painting a spare hood? I believe they can be ordered from your local dealer for around $850ish...
As with everything I seem to do, pushing it just to go this far. I need to do it quick or not at all. Want my car filmed and Cquartzed as quick as possible so no time to save more funds :(

Hoodless driving it is. Occasionally that is. Don't think I want to park anywhere public with nothing to keep vandals from messing with it... Might look cool tho.
Now if I could just make up my mind what to do... I have to wait 90 days before the protection gets put down so I've got to make a decision soon!

Maybe old school fantasy mural??? LOL

Wait 90 days.. is that for financial reasons or are you told you need to wait? Factory paint is cured and paint protection can be done on day one. Just FYI.

I would only see the need to do wait on an aftermarket paint job laid by hand/gun. Factory paint is baked and cured. Plenty of people have had xpel or similar installed quickly after delivery. Same with vinyl wraps and paint protect and clear coat sealants.

Xpel (or maybe 3m, can't remember which) was put on multiple pre production Hellcats without any 90 day wait..
